Travelling Through the Amazon on a Cargo Ship 🇵🇪

It was time to leave Peru and head to Colombia but in order to get there we had to take a cargo ship down the amazon river, this became a 3 day mega journey! The cargo ship was now mine and ‪@baldandbankrupt‬ home. With one meal a day and just a hammock to sleep in this adventure was a tough one!

@@BackpackerBen I spent a full week in a hammock once and it was awesome. I couldn’t get out due to the weed being so strong… like the stuff Bob Marley smoked. Spent plenty of time in Amsterdam and nothing there has come close. Don’t smoke anymore thank god. Spent literally the whole week in a hammock smoking weed next to the beech and hotel, listening to music. Proper rest!

Wow. Very cool. The village you were in was Alto Monte de Israel. It is run by a religious cult/community that rejects the Peruvian Government and wants to establish a biblical theocracy, this I why you could see men dressed like Jesus walking around. Very interesting and exotic place indeed.

I love tripe. It is popular in parts of Italy and so I grew up with it in my immigrant Italian family. Whenever I see it used in other national dishes anywhere in the world, I always get it and the dish is always amazing! Look past what it is, and just eat it. It holds onto the sauces really well so each bite is a flavor bomb.
