Singapore's Changi Airport has consistently been voted the best airport in the world and kept its title for the 12th consecutive year at the 2023 awards. Along with it, Changi Airport also won the award for the World’s Best Airport Leisure Amenities, maintaining its position as the most entertaining airport in the world for long layovers. This list was updated to include new attractions that Changi has opened over the months as well as facilities that have reopened after the pandemic restrictions. you saw so many things in that 12hr layover. i love it! how did you get back to the terminal from the jewel?

We had to go through security and immigration again to get back to our gate but it was such a quick and easy process!

Note for your next time in KLIA, transport from KLIA to KLIA 2, rather than dragging your bags to get on the shuttle bus, there's actually a train connection running every 15 - 20 minutes. For a layover at KLIA 2, rather than sleeping on the chairs, you have facilities at the airport such as the Capsule Hotel and Transit Hotel in the terminal building, and Tune Hotel across the road, connected to the terminal. #safetravels

Food isn't that expensive in Singapore but it is expensive to live there. The average 1 br apartment is $3000 USD to rent and to own just a Toyota, you have to pay $110,000 USD just for the license. Then just a crappy, regular Toyota costs over $100k USD in Singapore (so basically more than a Porsche would cost in Europe). So anyone you see driving in a car in Singapore basically put down $220,000 USD for the privilege - most Americans don't even have that kind of money. Not to mention all the taxes and other high costs of living outside of food. So it's not just "a little bit more expensive than the rest of Asia". It's actually A LOT more expensive than Europe or the US. More similar to the cost of living of Hong Kong and the rest of East Asia.

How come you can get out to the landslide at Changi airport without having to have your cargo luggages with you???? The airline you travel with SHOULD NOT have allowed it for security reasons.

We booked with the same airline for our flight to Singapore and Melbourne so we checked the bags in at KL and only had to collect them when we got to Australia 😊
