One of my touring friends caravan got stolen. The "tracker" people suggested to paint the registration number large on the roof. The chance that someone will look on the roof is slim and should they spot it, just another deterrent. Once the caravan get stolen, they can easily spot it from the air. Remember, not only tracker aircraft look for stolen vehicles. They broadcast to all aircraft in a area. For this reason, it's quite common to see large numbers on vehicle roofs.

Just a quick follow up on my tracker comment. Many apps that work with your tracker allow for a facility called geofencing. This allows you to go into your tracking software and ‘draw’ an area. Should your vehicle enter or leave a defined geofenced area you will get an alert. If this is a facility that appeals to you then check before you buy that the software on your smartphone, tablet etc will support this. Not all trackers are equal so you get what you pay for.

I’m quite staggered judging by the comments how few people seem be familiar with GPS tracking. It’s been around some years now but is only as good as the installation. Put your tracker somewhere silly and it will either not work effectively or thieves will rip it out in seconds. This applies to all vehicles not just caravans. Do your homework as trackers rely on the GSM mobile network to transmit data. There is little point opting for a mobile network that gives poor coverage in the area your vehicle is most such as your home or caravan storage facility. For me, anything that adds to a thieves frustration gets my vote just make sure you buy wisely.

HI Karen, Im looking foward to you working on and researching your other caravan renovation. Im currently doing the ceiling in my bus. I've decided to put a thin layer of thermal paper or something not sure what and then EVA (camping mat) on the inside. Thought i might run sheets of plywood crossways as it will bend a little bit., one sheet stops just before the curve gets to steep for ply to bend around and down the wall. Am looking at running a few strips of tong and groove length ways from the front of the bus to the back, starting at the top of the wall adding two or three lines one on top of the other until it meets up with the ply. Am interested to hear of any insulation ideas you may have. Im avoiding bats and glass wool as i think its two smaller space to have micro fibers floating around. love the videos.

Hi Karen re the tracker make sure you put it somewhere hard to get at [normally secured under the van in a hidey hole], as any reasonable thief will have a cheap little scanner that will tell them the van has a tracker, and in your drawer it would be gone within 30 seconds [probably left on site so you think the van/truck is still there. Also although they say it is a GPS tracker, I would be very surprised if it was as a you would need an aerial with a item that small and the fact that when you leave cellphone coverage you lose your track.GPS work of satellite so cover you everywhere. [I just checked their coverage map and it is pretty dismal, the same as your modem/internet] for your tracking check out your google account report - it has all your movements and shows your tracking like the fox. I get mine emailed to me every month, has come in handy a couple of times when I have forgotten where I got an item etc as it tells me how long I stopped anywhere etc.

Those camping "solar" showers are good for when you're in a bind. Boil up some water, mix in some cold and then hang it up in the shower cubicle. Hi, Travel K. I would like the content to be adjusted. Add footage. The atmosphere of the nature of a campsite. Still, having fun at just a short time. Now it is heavy content. It is necessary and should have for the audience to really absorb the atmosphere from the area. As usual I hope you will adjust it. I'm following you. Thank you. That I do not watch other owners because there is only the face of the caravan owner and the information is not atmospheric. I like the pictures that the caravan went to park in a natural place You used to be different from other channels and I believe you can do it. Thank you.

I usually do film more of the area. But just wasn't planning to have 3 videos at the one campground🤷♀️

Are you using affiliate links Karen? If you use them and recommend products you will make some money if folks click on the links you provide. Also you can approach companies to let them know you are a KZbin Influencer and could they provide discount codes for your subscribers.
