I understand that you are sceptical... I was as well... And now I'm in love with this wonderful vocalist for almost a year now... Please, listen to more of his songs. 'Opera 2' isn't opera, obviously. The song was written and first performed by Vitas, a famous Russian pop star. The lyrics can be summed thus: I am alone in my house and the wind is screaming at my window. The high section is a representation of the wind. Yes, this song isn't suppose to be comfortable. If you know the lyrics. Knowing the Autumn wind is howling and wailing around his house knocking on his doors and window, sobbing over him. He is alone. To me, It is like the end of his life. It is Autumn wind. He can't change his past or the sufferings he experiences. The door has been shut. He tells everyone to gather. It seems the wind will continue wailing after him even when he is gone. (Wrongs you will never be able to make right. ) This is what I feel after looking at several translations. I believe he was influenced by a poet, I will have to look this up again. The jaunty attitude of singing it with a smile on his face. It is disconcerting. As it is meant to be.

I don't like when i hear that "Best in the world", but there is a reason why people use that epithet. Dimash is technically outstanding. He is also versatile, he sings well in the classical way, but he is also very good in the modern way of singing. To fully understand Dimash, his music and his way of singing, it is crucial to listen to more songs.

I agree with you except for some things I gotta point out, Dimash can't sing bass: when he sings low he sings like a baritone, bass singers are at ease at low 2nd octave and often reach the 1st octave or lower, Dimash isn't (from what we've seen so far) confortable at like a D2 (while he reaches it) anyways, he goes from baritone to high soprano basically (which is amazing enough), ALSO it's important to understand that while Dimash is INCREDIBLY TALENTED and knows many technics and can do many styles... saying that he can sing like Pavaroti, Michael Jackson etc. is a shortcut, basically he's talented enough to sound like different singers from different genres, but he's nowhere close do be like Pavaroti or MJ (in their own styles) Pavaroti was nowhere close to hit the high notes that Dimash can hit, but he had more power and was better at expressing emotions, MJ probably couldn't sing other genres than pop(compared to Dimash) but he was way more smooth, sharp and had better intonation... oh god, I hate that kind of reaction! People who listen to one song to see if Dimash is the best singer in the world (I'm not talking only about you, there are many who make this mistake)! It's like reading the cover of a book to see if it's worth the Nobel Prize for literature! An important part of what makes him the best is his versatility. Welcome to Dimash. Listen to love is like a dream. He is 6 octave man. We only get one of this voice in every like 500 to 600yrs. He is much bigger than any other human. He can do opera but he has his own way of singing which no one else can do. This song just play for him but thanks for reaction. Sorry but he graduated opera before 10yrs old. As far as his ability is surpass Andre or Other opera singers. He can do it all. That’s the scary part of his voice. We had someone like him in late 1600’s Farinelli but he was castrated to preserver his voice in reality Dimash might be the only human in that sense worlds best of the best. Congratulations on your reaction, Dimash is a very humble and simple boy, for what i have read and seen he highly appreciates his roots and exposes them when he can in his presentations. He is very respectful of everyone and kind. He was competing in The World´s Best in 2019 but he retired. This caused annoyance in Rupaul but Dimash was more concerned with leaving the little ones that competed with him frustrated and seeing the level and quality that he has, he would very likely have won. Many people can hit notes but not many can actually sing them AND sustained them. Dimash can. All male singers sing falsetto when they sing high registers.....they can never sing soprano. Dimash can do BOTH. On the other hand, female singers/sopranos can never sing bass and baritone. Dimash can. Not only Dimash can sing bass, baritone, tenor, counter tenor PLUS all sopranos.....he is fully supported in ALL of them. This performance is at the most perhaps 5% - 10% of his skills and capabilities.

As someone who has been following him for 2 years, this was really a party trick performance in relation to his other performances. He can do the lot Pavarotti, sweet ballads, Chinese, MJ, and even a touch of rap, all with power, just for starters, a truly remarkable performer.

Please listen to more. He was just playing with the audience here. If opera is your mainstay then Igor Krutoy wrote a song for the opening ceremony of the 2019 2nd European Olympics in Minsk specifically for Dimash. Few others would attempt this in a recording studio let alone as a live performance. Having said all that, I would suggest a cover he does of a French song - SOS. He has done so many wonderful performances. Please don't make any type of critique with this fun fest. Dimash truly is the vocal genius of our time. Cheers ladies...

This represents most probably merely 5% of what Dimash is capable of vocally. And Dimash don't merely hit notes perfectly.....he SINGS them perfectly too. Vocal coaches and voice & music teachers described him as vocal beast, eight wonder of the world, monster, alien......to be Dimash you need to combine so many factors, skills, commanding and magnetic stage presence, etc ......not only that.....you would need to combine a few skillful singers with different vocal ranges to SING CLOSEST to him....closest ya.....can never be as good. No frivolous claim I assure you. Many of his songs....the way he sang them.....can never imagine any other on earth able to sing all that he can......within one song, within one person......LIVE.

Dimash don't just sing English, Italian or French songs.....he sings Mandarin songs like native too though he don't speaks Mandarin other than a few words......can Bocelli or MJ do all that too? No disrespect to Bocelli and MJ......but Dimash being described as such.....with good valid reasons. Being most popular, most famous, most financially successful does not equate to being the best and vice versa. Not being disrespectful to anyone....just FACT. Honest and genuine reaction, whoever recommended this performance should have known that it isn't the best choice for a first time reactor. In here, Dimash is showcasing his high range and as well covering a song which is expected to be sung the same way. I'd recommend you react to SOS (on "I am Singer" competition) or Sinful passion (Moscow concert) or Daybreak (Bastau concert) or Love of tired swans( in Kremlin, Russia). Thank you and God bless.🙏❤️

Dimash is not only a fabulous singer but a male model and humanitarian. He is Eurasian as most of the populations of Kazakhstan are. He is tall at a bit over 6' 3". He was 22 in this video and will be 27 May 24th 2021. He has completed his Master and his goal is to also have his Doctorate. He is smart, confident, talented, handsome and adored by his "Dears/Fans who make up millions of people. He began training vocally and instrumentally at age 5 and has dedicated himself to his craft. He speaks Kazak and Russian fluently and also sings in many languages.

Hi, surely you didn't start from the right song .. Dimash fascinated and hypnotized his fans (myself included) with the song SOS which, moreover, made him famous in China where his first album went platinum after a few minutes and after 1 hour was twice platinum. At his concert at the Barclays Center in New York he sold out with people arriving for him from all over the world. I have been following him for three years and I am not at all tired of it .. indeed, I am sure that if you continue to follow him at least you (your mother did not seem enthusiastic to me) will be fascinated by him like the millions of fans he has all over the world. in across endless dimensions (which i mention in the other dimash video), he does this thing near the end where his voice sounds like the guitar that plays in the background. and he does a similar thing in the show must go on, a few times, and every time i get goosebumps listening to guitar riff dimash XD.
