Maybe a place that we will never be in thanks to him. And I personally try to repay him and his comrades in arms by working hard everyday. And going on the path that he light up. As a woman engineer, I am so aware that non of my rights would've been like that if it wasn't for him. He inspired me as a child, his thinking about science and rationalism moved me and I wanted to go to that path. My favorite saying that he has is: "If one day my words and science contradicts, choose science."

I am a Turk living in England for about 4 years. I was really touched when I watched your video. At the end of the video, you said that Ataturk did other things and asked to write in the comments. He made thousands of reforms, but most importantly he gave sovereignty back to the nation after thousands of years. While the name of democracy was not democracy, we had states, like the republic we ruled with congresses (kurultay) thousands of years ago. He builded many years later again. The women of a nation that had the first female emperor in the world, Tomris Khatun, thousands of years ago, had a say in this new republic even before the women of the West. He led us in saving our civilization, our culture, our dignity. He was not just a leader, he was one of us who knew what we needed. As the orphan of a customs officer, he built a system in the new republic where not only nobles could lead the nation, but also an orphan like him, or anyone else.
