We, Turks are very active on social media (I don’t know why) and sometimes some foreigners make Turkish content just to get Turkish interaction. I understand them because we all have to do something to make a living but they look so fake. Your video, your reactions, your feelings were so genuine and I enjoyed watching this. Thank you so much for being so real and so respectful❤️

Really? He prohibited the alphabet, which was used over 6 centuries from one day to the another one and introduced the latin alphabet. So the new generation was not anymore able to read and understand the books and the newspapers, which written only one or a couple years ago. This is genius? On the contary. @@hugochavez6170 You are talking nonsense, how many volumes of books were there before the Republic? Ataturk is truly a genius. In a very short time, everyone learned to read and write thanks to him. My dear friends; I am writing this article to you through translation because my English is not good. There May Be Some Problems in Translation. First of all, I would like to say that I am proud and honored that a valuable person like Atatürk is leading my country. There Are Some People Among Us Who Do Not Like ATATÜRK. These are the Extremist Islamist Section. They Don't Like ATATÜRK. If you ask why. The answer is simple. Atatürk made the Alphabet Revolution and switched from the Arabic Alphabet to the Latin Alphabet. It is the transition from the Arabic Measurement System to the Latin Measurement System. It is the translation of the Holy Quran, the Book of Islam, into the Turkish Language. The purpose here is to want the Turks who are Muslims to know what they say to Allah during their worship. This Incident Drawn the Reaction of Radical Islamists. You Are Surprised by the Event, You Pray to the God You Believe in and You Don't Know What You Say. Because your prayers are in Arabic. Is Such a Belief Possible? Doesn't God Know Any Language Other Than Arabic? Here Ataturk Eliminated This. I don't think there is another leader in the history who has a connection with his nation in this way. 85 years after his passing away, 100 years after the declaration of the republic, there is an unbelievable bond with him, and always will. The ones with the negative comments are unfortunately are the ones who don't know him enough or sadly misjudged. I pity for them. He is a real inspiration for the world. Atatürk has an amazing saying: "There are no hopeless times, there are hopeless people. I have never lost my hope." And when you read his books, and yes he did wrote a lot of books including a geometry book between all the wars and countless fronts he was in, you understand that all these inspiring sayings came from a very very hard place. Maybe a place that we will never be in thanks to him. And I personally try to repay him and his comrades in arms by working hard everyday. And going on the path that he light up. As a woman engineer, I am so aware that non of my rights would've been like that if it wasn't for him. He inspired me as a child, his thinking about science and rationalism moved me and I wanted to go to that path. My favorite saying that he has is: "If one day my words and science contradicts, choose science."

He is the man who devoted his life to make these happen, even though he does not receive enough respect in the country he founded today. The man who laid the foundations of science and art. @@kenanbozgeyik-lp9yl I understand things are difficult here. That's how it is most places these days. Even in the US where I'm from I think people are mostly fed up with things. Ataturk means freedom, independence, honor, modernity, belief in science, and belief in ourselves. He was a great leader, visionary, heroic soldier and political genius. He could be sultan if he wished, but he refused such offers out of hand. Instead, he gave us the republic; elevated us from the servants of the sultan to the free individuals of the republic. And thanks to you in presenting this video to us in such a respectable and well planned way. Enjoy your stay in our country.

Of course there are Turks saying they love him but they don't follow his lead, there are "Turks" that hate him but every of us knowing about who he really is, understanding what he did break down when we talk about him about the way we miss and need him. There is countable amount of people who met him or saw him, we didn't see him with our eyes, we didn't meet but we miss him. That is such an incredible feeling and it is too hard to explain. This means a lot dude thank you. "Peace at home, peace in the world" - Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

A 100-Year-Old War Continues in Turkey between Radical Islamists, whom we call Bigots, and Ataturkists.

I am a Turk living in England for about 4 years. I was really touched when I watched your video. At the end of the video, you said that Ataturk did other things and asked to write in the comments. He made thousands of reforms, but most importantly he gave sovereignty back to the nation after thousands of years. While the name of democracy was not democracy, we had states, like the republic we ruled with congresses (kurultay) thousands of years ago. He builded many years later again. The women of a nation that had the first female emperor in the world, Tomris Khatun, thousands of years ago, had a say in this new republic even before the women of the West. He led us in saving our civilization, our culture, our dignity. He was not just a leader, he was one of us who knew what we needed. As the orphan of a customs officer, he built a system in the new republic where not only nobles could lead the nation, but also an orphan like him, or anyone else. He is everything for our people, our nation and our country ❤ Thank you for this video mate. Really 🙏🏼

Thank you for sharing this video and appreciating the emotions of Turkish people on this memorial day.Atatürk was not only a great military strategist and commander but also a man who seeked peace and harmony among all people . His thoughts on science, society, secularism, education, humanity, equality, art, music , sports, nature, agriculture are of great importance and are universal. One of his famous sayings which we must all remember today is “Peace at home and peace in the world”

The Turkish people do not show this respect to their Ancestors by force of the state, they do it with their own free will and the state complies with this. I don't know if there is such a thing in other parts of the world. Thank you very much for preparing these videos and for feeling the sensitivity in this incident.

My hat is off to you for choosing to experience this special day in Ankara… The minute of 9:05 is acknowledged the same way all around the country. The admiration, respect and longing the people of Türkiye have for Mustafa Kemal Atatürk keeps growing by day. Your expression before leaving Kızılay told me that you felt this in its purest form. 🙏🏻
