Travels by Historic Narrowboat - Grand Tour

Gooday everyone. This time round I have something different and rather special to show you - an historic, vintage-engined canal boat, that isn't Aslan !
In this video, I take you on a tour of this classic, 1950's, ex-working narrowboat - she's had an interesting and varied 'life', to say the least.
What's more, in the following videos, I'll be cruising this very boat along a favourite and familiar stretch of canal - a journey that proves to be quite 'eventful'.

The premiere of the highly anticipated "CHG Travels By Narrowboat Sequel" had some very "big canals to fill." You and Gorse have gone above and beyond in exceeding our expectations. This latest unique historical presentation was appreciated and enjoyed very much; you are the best. We will be watching the "Grand Tour" more than once, twice and maybe thrice. I believe the sister vessel "Mendip" mentioned in the history, is now preserved in original form at the museum in Ellesmere Port. Maybe one day you can visit it to compare?

The wood makes it awfully dark but also the woodwork is gorgeous. It is surely a lot of pressure to be responsible for someone's precious boat. A very interesting boat and vlog.

Oh my! Back on the Lancaster Canal. We purchased our very first boat on the Lancaster. A 23ft Norman , outboard engine, cruiser 😊Moored at Catforth at the Jolly Roger, way back in 1984 😊. We enjoyed a good few years of cruising that beautiful canal and spent many happy days moored at Garstang.

Great to see you again Kevin, OUR SUNSHINE. So chuffed to watch the much anticipated new episode, WOW! WHAT A NARROWBOAT, with such amazing history of being cut to pieces and put back together again. The engine looked beautiful. We had a trip on THE WAVERLEY a few years ago, Southend Pier to Tower Bridge FANTASTIC, blew me away the engine compartment. "The noise of a truly oiled engine" simply amazing piece of machinery. It must be lovely for the likes of you who know one end of a spanner from the other, 6 inch nail and a hammer is about all I could muster!!!!! I had a weird dream, while snoozing watching the KZbin, this afternoon. I met you in St. Pete, Fl. in the harbor. You were trying to fix the Historic buddy's boat, Touring our canals. Actually, I figured out why your on top of the heap. Your about as real as you can be, besides not giving a Sh*t. And a good show name. And the food session if very informative, and makes me want to go to local British pub, for Bangers and Traditional Scotch Eggs. Plus you remind us viewers of ourselves, Especially if your single! Then you got the "CUT" Presenter, with a lot of welcoming history of area. And he's very good, but feels like I'm watching BBC 6PM news. Then we had the 2 gents, traveling on the brand new long boat with forward thruster, and no smoke in your face all day. Silver Something is for sale! Then you got the young couple, who put on a pretty good cooking show, and make you want to be that guy, or the girl (depending on your sex)on that adventure. It's a Flash back to my Hippy Days of the 70's and 80's. When we were broke! And we love the Cat, and they got 20K viewers. I think I got all the boaters included, How come you don't have a few cute 45 year old Chippies joining you along your travels? Now that would turn your show into a Soap Opera. What if Psy the Pie Guy, is Really Phyllis The Gal, a hot, hot 40 year old babe secretly in love with you. And she's got a Bee Hive hair do out of the 60's? Now I'd watch that show on real TV.
