In this video, Kevin shows how to load the world's lightest folding mobility scooter into a van as if he were missing a leg. This will be useful for individuals who are not able to get out of their mobility scooter to load it and get back into the vehicle. See why the TravelScoot is America's favorite mobility scooter for travel and independence.

I live in Spain and I have had a travel scooter for 7 years. I have used it very comfortably but it has its difficulties getting it in and out of the car as you have done. When used by older people or people with reduced mobility, it is not as easy to disassemble the travel scoot as you have done. Firstly, because the screws that allow the travel scoot to fold rust over time and it is very difficult to close and open them and they do not allow the travel scoot to be folded so easily. In addition, getting the seat in and out is also difficult to do.The seat frame is also difficult to open and close those pieces. I simply make this comment with my good will and although it is light, it is not very easy for people with reduced mobility or elderly people to do so. Keep in mind that you were the one who went up and down the travel scoot and you are a person without physical problems and a young person. Thank you so much

Dear Mrs Díaz: I think your comment is very accurate about this TravelScoot. We have it for use of my wife, since 2013, so today, more than 10 years of use. Although I am a Medical Doctor, I have some skills and knowledge about mechanics and electric. And I could make possible , that this magnificent , well designed , light, scooter is working for this lapse of time. This one uses a sealed lead battery (heavy, about 22kg) Is one of the very first , TravelScoot have been made. It has been very reliable, we have travel from Mexico to Europe, and USA, in several times by airplane, train an Bus. It have runned for many miles ( I hope I could know , how many) It has been a game changer for my wife, that can walk, but cannot walk for long distances. Up to now, I have to change about three sets of batteries, Once a transmission band, a hand control, that works, but has been damaged in one of our flight travels, and all the ball bearings of the three wheels. And Now we are just to receive a new electrical motor. It will arrive tomorrow here in Mexico. So hopefully we will have THIS SCOOTER Operational again for the next 10 years ! I do believe, that the people that buys this scooter, must have a reliable service center in the Country where they Live. For sure, the scooter, will need some maintenance as any maschine will need. We use it mostly fully assemble, we arrive at the Airline Check-IN Desk with my wife driving it. At the most in the plane door, I have to remove the battery, and carry up inside the plane. While in the city, I take out the battery, lower the handle, take out the back rest. and put the scooter in the back of our SUV. In Rare moments at getting up a TAXI, yes I have to disassemble most of it, and some times it is not so easy. My wife alone cannot do it, fortunanty, she has my assistance. Many times , many people as we go through ask about the scooter, I´m always glad to give information. I declare myself a FAN OF THE TRAVEL SCOOT.

Thank you for your comments, dear person from Spain. I also have difficulty disassembling the TS. Also, lifting the scooter into the trunk of my car is exhausting, and it's the main reason I don't use the scooter as much as I'd like to.

I just want people with reduced mobility to know the truth, that everything is more difficult. Despite everything, I am very happy with the equipment because it is one of the smallest and very well built and there are pieces of everything. I think that in the future I will buy another one like it.

You make disassembling the TS look easy. IMO, it isn't. I have a junior TS (2003) and the buttons/pins are hard to push in for removing the front wheel and seat.

How easy is it to pull the folded travel scooter along? Is it light and easy to pull
@etheriaparrott
@etheriaparrott 2 ай бұрын
It doesn't really have a way to pull it along like others I've seen. You would have to hold it by the front wheel. There isn't anything that's like a handle.

Why did you change it to this more bulky option? I remember it folded a lot smaller in the earlier versions where it could fold into a bag.

The Escape is lighter, less awkward, and shorter. The width is a little wider is all.

The scooter should work fine using an extension cable to the battery so it is easier to plug in. Plus leaving the battery in the main basket works fine. I had not thought about taking off the front wheel. That would help a lot.

About $3000 USD if you buy a basket. Extra battery is about $800.
