THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA is NOT what we expected (BEST Day Trip from Beijing)

We spend today visiting the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China, a great day trip from Beijing.

After getting up really early and having breakfast at the Club Lounge at our hotel, the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel we catch the subway to Dongzhimen Subway Station where we meet our guide from Mubus who will take us to the Great Wall of China.
Mubus is a cost effective way of visiting the Great Wall, they take care of the transport and also offer tickets at cost price.
It took about an hour and a half to arrive at the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China and then we caught the cable car to the top.
Once on the Great Wall of China we walked all the way to watch tower number 20 before coming back down. In total we spent a good couple of hours on the Great Wall of China and it was a great experience.
We got a buffet lunch at the Mubus Family centre in Mutianyu Village before getting their bus back to Beijing.
In Beijing we go shopping on Wangfujing Street and get some food in Qianmen Street before stocking up on supplies for our train journey tomorrow at Walmart.

The transparent film on the outside of tanghulu sometimes looks like paper, but it is actually edible rice paper. This kind of rice paper is safe to eat and is usually used to prevent the tanghulu from sticking to your hands while keeping the sugar coating intact. So, if the "paper" on the outside of the tanghulu is rice paper, you can safely eat it. If you are unsure, you can ask the vendor or carefully observe it. Generally, rice paper is quite thin and dissolves easily in your mouth.
