I just loved everything about the quaint Sonam Guest House you stayed at in Dakchu. The tradition, decor, the meal, your room, the people…all just so lovely. I’m traveling in your footsteps as this is one trek I’ll never be able to do. Keep sharing because I love seeing and learning through your eyes and experiences.

This Everest series is being so addictive and can't wait for the next episode. Brings up some nostalgic memories as me and my dad had to walk 7 days when I was 6 years old to reach my village Solukhumbu from Jiri as the flights to Phaplu Airport that time was cancelled several times due to weather. cant wait for the next episode..

The cook’s kitchen shelves in the Lamjura Viewpass Restaurant were so neatly organized. The vintage tunes on the radio just added to the charming vibe. On a clear day the views must be incredible.

amazing effort for making this series. it's like a time machine when folks mainly used Lonely Planet, not so much internet. utmost respect to you, because most KZbinrs choose the easiest & most predictable way. you offer a different version.

So beautiful you mentioned Shambala , because very close to Shamabala is another concept in Buddhism about Beyul ( translation: Hidden Valley/Land) , such hidden lands are said to be treasure trove of wisdom, dharma, good health, prosperity.. a spiritual Eutopia if you may. And Khumbu where you are trekking to is one such place, it’s called Beyul Khumbu. Wish you a safe and fun trek !

Much as I love everything about these past episodes.. Whether its the nature, the scenery, to the plants, and species. It frustrates me how you point out everything being cheap. Even you trying to bargain with them about the cheese.. Was disrespectful. I dont think people really grasp the full concept on how much work it takes to build those houses up in the mountains. Or the harsh task to grow and provide you with the food and essentials to be comfortable. Honestly, every place you stayed at should've been $25+ a night, plus a tip for their kind hospitality. Saddens me to think about the thousands of people who have taken advantage of them. You couldn't even give the kids a piece of chocolate or very less give the dog a treat of some sort. -This video taught me much about life. It goes to show that no matter the goal you seek, the ultimate goal is the journey you have along the way. Nothing can beat that!
