I know you don’t have a 400 anymore but I just bought a 2022/400 and towed it five hours to home and every time I looked in the rear view I saw “white” and that bugs me so I’m researching cameras and you found a good one! First it was the 400 and now the camera … 😂 thanks again and safe travels!
@TravelswithDelaney3 жыл бұрын
We love that camera! Honestly I would ge lost without it. Did you open the blinds on your front and rear 400 windows? I use to be able to see through the 400 when towing. It will depend on your tow vehicle and how low it sits as to whether you can see through.

I have been contemplating a rear view camera for our Little Guy Max. It is wired for one but I am not sure if it works with any camera? I love that is has a mic so you can hear Patty talk to you when backing up. Great video Patrick!

As I saw it before, Little Guy Max is pre-wired for Furrion camera. While Haloview provides brackets that compatible with Furrion pre-wired RVs which is so cool!

This one comes with an adapter bracket for the ones prewired so it most likely would work.

Hey I put one of these dominator systems on my camper but I ran the cord to the transponder under the camper and hooked the transponder to the LP gas cover at the hitch and it works fine and that took up the extra cable that was there in the back I ran the wire down the ladder can hardly see it anyhow it works fine.

I also have a Lance 1985 but without the roof bars. That's a lot of cable to stow since a 1985 only needs 22 ft to mount the repeater. One wonders if the repeater is necessary. Did you ever try it with the repeater disconnected?

On my new trailer it is pre wired for a backup camera, nice feature but the price of the camera system that it’s branded for is pretty expensive. For technology that’s everywhere these days the price point could be better. I noticed this kit is pretty nice I like the packaging it appears that this company takes some pride in its product this may be worth exploring even if it might be a pricey.

Would love a video on how your taco handles the new trailer. I have the same truck and would love to upgrade RVs myself
@TravelswithDelaney4 жыл бұрын
The Tacoma did a great job pulling at 65 mph. We were getting 11 mpg in the midwest but that dropped down to 10 mpg when we got out west. The biggest drawback is the combined trailer/truck rating was 11,280#. We were maxed out with the trailer only weighing 5100#. The only cargo we had with us in the bed of the truck was the generator, some tools and the pet stroller. We didn't get to bring our bikes or have water in the tank of the trailer in order to stay at the max combined weight rating.

Nothing urgent, but you may want to replace your clear cable ties with black ones which are UV rated. They’ll last a lot longer in the sun.

Great Video. While it may be a little pricey for some, I think it's well worth the investment. I wonder if you notify your insurance company you have this if they would give you a discount of some sort on your policy. It will definitely make you less likely to back into something or the recording feature could provide good evidence in the unlikely event you are ever involved in an accident. None us want to think about that, but insurance companies sure do!
@TravelswithDelaney4 жыл бұрын
I may have to ask our State Farm Agent (Chandra...not Jake! LOL) about this to see if it might qualify for any discounts.

Another great tutorial, Patrick! Love that it fits over existing rear view instead of a separate monitor. The screen seems very user friendly and provides easy access to varied menus that you can customize. (Would come in extremely handy in 'accident' cases where someone tries to pass you on the right shoulder trying to get ahead of "that darn camper" approaching an exit, hit a construction cone, and blames YOU, and it's your word against theirs. Not that I would know, lol). Haloview did well having you explain their product, glad you have it. Safer travels! ~💜
