We have been seriously considering Moving from our Lance to a 5th wheel and based on all my research and following you guys leaning towards an Alliance. When we finally got to see one last month it was a disappointment. . The fit and finish was absolutely unacceptable. We thought maybe it was just that unit but based on your review and others I believe not. We don’t mind fixing some minor things but not so many obvious issues, makes you consider what issues you can not see. Definitely makes it a reason to keep our Lance for now. Thank you for the honest review.

Just a sign of more things to come. If this is acceptable quality from the manufacturer I would not be happy at all, move on down the road , and try something else. Thats just me. Good luck with your purchase.

Alliance was my #1 choice of fifth wheel manufacturer until I walked through a Brinkley. Night and day difference in build quality. Alliance is maybe a step or two above Grand Design but way behind that of Brinkley.

Lance definitely does a better job with fit & finish. Even though our 2020 Lance 2375 was built during the pandemic, we've had almost no problems except for extremely minor ones. I watch comments from other Lance owners on LOA, so I know what sort of problems to look out for. The biggest problem with Lance is the high purchase price, but I hope that translates into decent resale value.

Your 5 disappointments are very justified! No one should ever have to fix or change any of the things you have showed us. It would be worth their while to reach out and take care of all of the ones that are put in the later productions. Even I'm disappointed in see these blemishes! Come on Alliance! Step up to the plate!

Except their Lance required the slide to be re installed since the factory did it wrong. 🤔 Sadly they all have a LOT of room to improve. Including the holy grail brands like Airstream.

I dislike my dinette also, cushions are too thin, and the table too, so I put the dinette into bed mode and cover it for protection, it is now my lounge where my pup and I relax and watch tv.

Thats so weird that they made the shower enclosure so short, we have a similar shower door but much higher. Alice keeps a shower curtain inside the door to keep the glass clean. I prefer add my own USB ports anyway, the ones OEM use are crappy, and low power. We use our outdoor plugs all the time especially for the ebike charging and holiday lights. TIme to get some custom temperpedic cushions make. I would turn that table into an updesk with an ikea kit. We have solitude which is supposed to the the high end GD but the fit and finish is HORRIBLE. It’s like you have to finish building the RV yourself. So far it doesnt look like you dont have any really bad issues. Larry

I know what you mean about fit and finish. It drives me crazy! We joke that they must have been blindfolded when putting some parts together. I can't speak for 5th wheels because we're looking at travel trailers, but the best fit and finish (in our price range) we've seen so far are on Lances, Winnebago and Outdoors RV. It definitely pays to be handy when owning any Rv. Thanks for keeping buyers informed!

Our 2 best rv’s we have ever owned we’re our Lance and our NuCamp T@B 400. Their fit and finish is definitely a notch higher than others we have owned.

We have never purchased a new RV but have noticed at RV shows some of the finished work is not the greatest. But the main point is that you love it and have found, for the most part, how to make it livable for the two of you and the pups. It is a beautiful fifth wheel. And it fits you both so well. Nothing is every perfect so enjoy it and safe travels!

Hey you two, here's something to think about. Take the glass shower doors out and replace with a shower curtain so you can change it with a new pattern whenever you want. As for under your U-dinette, our previous Jayco White Hawk had a track with sliding panels that you could access from under the table. It also had a free standing table you could pull out and fold down as a coffee table too but I had to put some foam around the bracket to protect our tender knees, LOL.

We are definitely talking about taking the shower doors out at some point and doing exactly what you said. We’ve actually found a solution for the dinette table and will get a short video out on that modification soon.

We own an Avenue All Access 22ml (bought 10/23) as well and the hall light is my biggest pet peeve. They have put USB ports in the bedroom. I'm currently fighting with the kitchen faucet as the head doesn't allow enough water through to kick on the tankless water heater. Not sure how much of a fan I am of the tankless water heater either but we'll see. Otherwise, it's a great camper and we're excited to hit the road!

Ours didn’t come with a tankless water heater. It’s a traditional propane/electric water heater. We did install a switch for the hallway in the hallway light this week. Now we can finally use it.

We're generally happy with our new Grand Design AIM 15RB, but of course there are always a few things. We wish we had a 12 volt TV, and that the dinette table wasn't wobbly. Also the ceiling fans are ridiculous (bathroom fan already doesn't work), but so were the fans in our T@B 400. Definitely need to change them!

Mfgs appear to be going way from exterior (and in many cases, interior) speakers and either providing a Bluetooth speaker, some sort of soundbar (often integrated with the TV), or just Bluetooth connectivity since so many Bluetooth speakers are on the market now. While I miss the interior speakers, the exterior speakers typically had such poor sound quality that I think it's probably for the best. As for USB plugs, it sounds like Alliance was just slow to adapt to that trend, but I wish that mfgs would also install 12v "cigarette lighter" plugs in addition to USB A and USB C plugs. Many high draw electronics (like laptops, CPAP machines, or any electronic that comes with an in-line "brick" on the 110v charging cord) can be changed with automobile charging cords (that plug into the "cigarette lighter" barrel-style plugs) and don't need a full 110v change via an inverter. Instead, they need between the 5-volt maximum of a USB charging plug and the full 12 volts from the "cigarette lighter" outlet. Consequently, installing 12v "cigarette lighter" plugs in addition to USB A and USB C plugs that draw directly off of the batteries gives you maximum flexibility before having to turn on your inverter, which itself is one of the biggest draws on the battery bank.

We have a lance 2020 2465 which we have really been enjoying. We also heard wonderful things about Alliance and went to have a look. We also noticed fit and finish items that could have easily been fixed before they put them on the lot. Over all its a beautiful 5th wheel but attention to detail was a little sloppy in the ones we saw. Sounds like you are enjoying it and thats what matters!

Sounds like maybe you got the prototype, instead of a user-ready trailer. Those things do seem very very strange. It’s wonderful when customer service is good, but … I’d much, MUCH rather NOT need to engage and coordinate repairs for these types of things at all. These should never be an issue, if the company wants a reputation for offering quality products.

We bought it sight unseen. We had looked at the same model at a different dealership. Our dealers did a quick walkthrough before we headed home with it. Some of it we would have caught on a more thorough walk thru but some items you won’t catch until you spend some time in the rv.

I don't know guys, I guess you love to change every couple of years to something new. You should have kept your Lance 1985. Just when you get everything the way you want, you guys buy another rv and get to complain about new problems in your "new" rv.

We changed because we wanted more living space. We had three specific things we wanted: 1. A dedicated seating area 2. More cargo carry capacity 3. Days cited ac that wasn’t so loud as we work from the rv in the summer. We also put out a video on the 5 things we love about our “new” rv…not sure why we are putting new in quotes as it was new. We just try to share both the hood and bad. It seems it doesn’t matter what we do, someone seems to take exception with it.
