You knocked it out of the park. I think your best production yet. The ever personal intro (beats the usual replay), Fabulous editing. Handy tips. Honest mistakes. Great design and attention to detail (knowing you like to keep it quick and easy). Bloody hell man it's a masterpiece. Also the porthole ended up fabulous. Kudos.

I'm not emotionally invested enough to scream at the screen Just silently said: "if that works will be seen!" That you removed the porthole gave me inner satisfaction. But All in all it was nice porthole-action. The unpainted industrial look works great! Like all the work on the cabin - even though it's less bright.

For low pressure 'gasket' seals, I've always found surgical tubing bedded with 'instant glue gel' to be a long lasting and effective solution to hard to source channel gaskets. The stuff comes in many diameters and colors, so you can be choosy... 🐕

14:12 took me by surprise as I realised it wasn't you 😻 I would have considered using pocketed screws for the top rail, which would have meant preassembly and slide the whole thing on.. also possibly making it wider with a tall fiddle on the bedside.. and installing also oiling (before installation to hide the wires) ... bead LEDs underneath both sides but controlled separately? Some brass nuts could set off the Scuttle .. it's an opening Porthole. The seals you could make.. my favourite is casting them... It means making a mould and using high quality silicone but they work out really cheap and work really well. You can make the mould round which I prefer or a straight line and a tiny spot of silicone to join, paint a little veg oil in the grove to stop adhesion and if you use a strip push the length in don't stretch it, this also applies to the rubber filler on car or boat windows. My dinghy is a 1970 'With' 10ft fibreglass.. very similar in size to what would have been with my boat when it was on hire.. the original was extremely similar or the same as one of the sailing dinghies used on the Swallows and Amazon's film. I'm in the process of replacing my Fore Deck with T&G V Larch.. almost the same size as the original.. I have decided to have a 21" x 27" skylight with double glazed perspex, I will remove the water from the gap with silica. Totally transform's the room and when the Sun shines warms the air.. I've been wondering for decades, should have done it ages ago.. condensation doesn't seem to be an issue and that is single glazed. Swapping to thick perspex improves insulation.. keep a look out in skips as shop's throw out the screen's or ask when they are removing them. Did you see my comment a while ago about packing the stern gland? What is the stove? 🐾🐾🐾 🐈
@TravelsWithGeordie Жыл бұрын
Wow, so much going on here. Thank you. All good stuff. I'll have to review to see about the packing comment. I'm way behind. The stove is a Force 10.
