Lovely video cute Highland cows. Hope you were both ok in the storm. My partner went out last night in our garden to check everything as we heard cracking sounds of trees and he spotted a big bird sitting on our garden ornament but could only see the silhouette of the bird I said maybe a comerant so we both went back out and the bird was big with a long beak so I think it was a heron anyway I made a squak sound to say hello well next thing the heron flew straight for us never moved so fast in my life😂 managed to get in the front door legs shaking and heart racing my man couldn't stop laughing 😂. Imagine if it attacked us would definitely do damage with it's beak. Am never making a squak sound again 😂 Danielle

Did you know that the Highland cow can withstand very low temperatures compared to other breeds in Britain? They also have very tender meat which is exported worldwide. Scourie is a lovely wee village and if you drive further along the coast to Durness you'll be able to visit the famous Smoo Cave.😊

Have you guys thought about settling on the west coast of Scotland and making it your home base. You both seem so happy there. If I ever move back to the UK (living in Reno USA at the moment) I’d want to live on the west coast of Scotland. Stunning coastline with white sandy beaches, few people and clean air. One of the last wild places left in the UK.

Hi Mazzy and Dan! Loved the Highlands cows! Just a few facts for you. Males have thicker horns that curve forward while the females have thinner horns that curve upwards. They're the oldest cattle breed in the world dating back to the 6th century. They were originally mostly black in colour but the victorians preferred the ginger ones so they selectively bred them until they were lighter in colour. Also, apparently they love humans and enjoy their attention! 😊. Take care both of you and stay safe in the storm. Xxx xx

That was so sweet buying that little pressie for mazzie. And then seeing them up close and personal they are just so gorgeous mazzie would of been losing her mind if she was there at that time. I hope mazzie is able to get just as close to them as well.that would be a great place to set up your cameras once the wind dies down just to catch the cows or point at the beach to see if it's picks up any seals

Oh the cow is lovely. What a nice surprise. Some parts of Scotland they showed on the tv the sea looked very rough,. We have had the wind in lincs not to bad, I am pleased to say. we had rain as well. I make those noises Mazzy when I am out in the car with John , I get into trouble as well.😒 you may also avoid the water coming up as well onto the van. Ah when something fell I jumped out my skin. Dinner looks very nice. Did you do a sauce with your broc. .? If so what sauce did you do. Interest only. Maybe high tide today with weather being rough as well, it’s kept it in higher. Ah the cows are lovely . They are big aren’t they. I wouldn’t want to be poked with those horns . Yes getting out for just a while makes you feel better, then a nice lunch and the footie your made .

That is so cute Dan buying Mazzy the Highland cow and Mazzy was so happy. The seal footage was cute. It was funny when Dan pulled away and you were holding everything, the pan, coffee, cooker lid and fridge with your foot, made us giggle 😂. Pleased you were able to move. Dinner looks yummy.
