I was born and grew up in SL. Then migrated to OZ down under fifty one years ago, I can’t believe how much Colombo has changed ! I think it’s so modern now, I think I might migrate back and live the rest of my days there, I miss the warm tropical breezes the warm people and the great food. Yes i feel that the politicians have done good managing the country, so I. Really don’t understand how one of the best economies in Asia , being SL , could be in such a pickle like it was recently. I wish the country only the best as my heart is still there. 😀😀😀

@starboy1887 Thanks for the sentiments, starboy. What I meant was if they use the resources wisely, SL could have done better. But they shared the money earned with public servants as well. That's why we see their children studying all over the world, including Iceland.

People blame the politicians, they forget it was the people who keep voting for them 😅 Besides, politicians onus is on the people, particularly the majority who get incited by racist politicians. Racism is widespread now than thirty years ago, particularly after many people started to swarm Colombo and Kandy from South and Eastern parts of Sri Lanka.
