I wish I saw this before those other videos I watched. where they said they took it out from the top. I ended up taking it out of the wheel liner also which made the whole process a lot easier.

Did you drain coolant fluid?

I replaced battery, starter, and alternator but still getting servcice battery charging system. Tested bother battery and alternator, battery at 12.6v when engine off and alternator 13.8 when engine is on. Any ideas where elses to check?

Sounds like it’s charging and you either have a broken wire or something malfunctioning in the cluster possibly.

why the heck do they make it so hard to get to? the old cars were so easy to get to all the parts. I think they make them so the backyard Mac cant fix his own car. Counting the alternator plus work will cost me at lest $1000.

I had the same problem change the alternator and it still continuing to do the same problem

Check battery connections and grounds. Might have a bad ground cable somewhere. Gotta check for 14 right at the alternator positive pin

It takes some Tetris. I think you could go out the top, but I ended up putting it in the wheel well and then undoing the wheel well from underneath and like it fell out on me haha

@@lisaredd6008 yeah, I went threw the fender but it was honestly a terrible experience 😂 putting the new on in is easy but taking the old one out was terrible, you have to manipulate it and force it out, no real easy way to do it besides pulling the motor

Too many tests, test to see if the voltage drops below 13.6 under load with engine running wipers on radio ac and if it does then alternator is bad, replace.

Easiest way to check for a bad alternator…. Turn on the car and while running disconnect battery if it shuts off is bad if it stays on is good. No need for all that extra work

Even if the alternator periodically charges? Mine starts at 14.4v, then goes down to 11.5v, then goes up to 15.2v. Volts go up and down at various times. Heck sometimes the volts stay at 14.4 all day.
