We got a drone! You can really get a sense of this forbidding and challenging New Mexico terrain from up above, and the bird's eye view of the Organ Mountains is really something. Rock climbing and mountain climbing on this journey is about to come to an end. Will Steve and Robin reach their goal to complete the traverse? What have they been up to?
We'll be back on the water very soon. Thanks for coming on this journey with us!

Acorn to Arabella started as a wooden boat building project in Granby, Massachusetts. Steve began the journey as an amateur wooden boat builder crafting a 38' wooden sailboat in his backyard: designer William Atkin's Ingrid with a Stormy Petrel's gaff rig. These videos follow the journey from tree felling, to lumber milling, to lofting, to the lead keel pour and now sailing the boat-sharing details of the woodworking, carpentry, metal smithing, tool building, and tool maintenance that traditional wooden boats command. This ultimate DIY project continues beyond the boat shop, as Steve and crew travel and learn to cruise aboard the handmade wooden boat that they've built. Just kidding about all that, this channel is about a Siberian Laika named Akiva.

Hi guys, Although WIlleke and I respect the courage and the drive for adventure of Robin and Steve, the only thing we like about mountain climbing is that it offers viewers of this channel some amazingly beautiful camera shots of the nature out there. We wish them a good relaxing time and send to all the viewers in here love from the Netherlands

Good morning Arabella fans. No coffee and a sick 4year old here. Did you see KP got Married!!! They looked fantastic. And I love the song they played on the ukulele. Don't push yourself too hard. The expense of a rescue helicopter is not in the budget.

Just got back from 10 days bolt clipping in Kalymnos, Greece. Back in a much colder uk, which has lead me to think a winter sailing around the Med stopping at the various climbing locations would be a fantastic way to spend the winter. The traverse looks superb interesting. Younger me when I was fist getting into the mountais would have appreciated some of the mountain senses discussions between yourselves, how your deciding which way to go and that it was safe to commit to the abseils etc. I expected there are some younger adventures watching who would love that

its a funny thing - i sit here thinking 'rather you than me' - well i did some rock climbing many years ago in my teens, yep i enjoyed it (not many places to go and lose yourself in the UK) but it wasn't something i pursued - i do enjoy watching some 'naughty' folk climbing places where they shouldn't and without the 'essential' safety gear - i guess its a law of averages when it comes to any accident - there are less people doing the illegal climbs, building, chimneys etc, whereas there are more folk doing what you do, and having to carry all that kit does have its disadvantages, could easily get you off balance, and Steve did mention the falling off the kurb situation - i did have a good sense of balance, have a healthy respect for heights (heights don't bother me, its the landing bit that hurts) although some steps i was on last year did collapse and caused spine compression, resulting in a fracture which still gives me some issues now, an example is while going upstairs, i caught the tow of my shoe on the bottom step, stumbled, recovered, jarred my back and there you go, anything can happen, at any height - you can't even say its all down to experience (they say this all the time when planes crash 'he/she was an experienced pilot) maybe so, just less experienced at crashing, i been driving for well over 30 years and i still make the odd mistake - mistakes happen, its part of life - do what you enjoy and do it well, at least if you do make a mistake, try and get it on film question - i assume you take some form of medical kit with you, do you have much in the way of pain killers and anything that might be advantageous just in case
