Brad, I love your story because I see parts of my own story in it. I also went from part-time tech support to very basic freelance web dev, then worked for an agency for the experience before becoming a web services entrepreneur. I'm so glad you found content creation as your next step after being an entrepreneur. I've been watching you for several years now and always enjoy your content. I went from being an entrepreneur to taking a University web dev job in my hometown. I needed the stability right then. Having had addiction issues in the past as well, I've learned that having a fixed routine keeps me in line. Thanks for making tutorials, and thanks for making life videos like this one. Respect.

Thank you, Brad! I love these kinds of vids of yours, they really help me with orienting myself as a beginner who is just about to jump in the industry in the upcoming year. Failures are the most difficult ones to digest and even if I manage to create something pretty good, I always focus on things that I still do not know and how overwhelming all this amount of still-to-gather knowledge is instead of focusing on things that I managed to embrace on my own from tutorials and courses. Your videos always inspire me and fill me up with motivation to take the next step. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your story! It's kind of my story, too. :-) I started making websites in my youth, studied Geoinformatics (and succeded), went to an agency (because I wanted to stay nearby) making websites (having its own CMS), then started freelancing having this 30.000 Euro income. I did some projects on my own (and learned what's not working), made some money with affiliate links and had a lot of time for my kids. Now I want to go further. One thing is building WordPress plugins - I made some for my clients and want to sell it to others. Another thing is building new content sites with affiliate links. Then I want to get more clients for my WordPress Maintenance Service (maintaining 16 websites already). Next things I want to do is building Alexa Skills and a new web project (maybe a PWA) with PayPal integration or building an app for the android webstore. Does anyone have other ideas (for a web developer)? I'm looking forward to it! :-)

Really appreciate your genuineness and sincerity. The truth is hard to come by and I can't think of anything more valuable. People need to hear what's real (not some puffed up garbage like most people tell). The truth is something you can rely on. I'm so grateful for you my friend.

Love your story brad. Been following you for a while and I always wondered how you got started. This helped me at least map out a roadmap to how I or anyone could approach their lives if they wanted to start. I will definitely take this advice and give my 110% no

Hi Brad, great to hear your story. I started out with your courses, worked very hard, landed my first part time position, and now just got my first full time role at a major digital agency. Not bad for 2.5 years work! And coming from running my own business beforehand, I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do to start my own development business in future.
