I think if you had pushed along the objective side of the table with some smoke grenades you could’ve made it. Dig the section out of the center compound with Handgranaten and keep the Pzr 4 back out of LoS from the 2pdr while firing HE at the objective building. Would be difficult but possible with how well the pre game barrage worked.

Yeah with a long enough time it could have been done more carefully. Maybe even just send a scout team into the compound in the middle and let the pz IV blast away for five or six phases.

Well Travis, I should have mentioned this then. As well as being very unreliable the BESA HMG only had a couple of belts of ammo; it was intended for anti vehicle use.

You can also win a game by forcing the enemy off the table. Germans should have focused fire on the Brits and tried to win the shooting battle. German played way too recklessly. No need to rush the game through like it was 40k.

99% of our games are won by force morale.

Three critical bad moves IMHO. ATR team deployed too soon. Hold for ambush or opportunity. Panzer IV moved too far forward and too fast, then sat in LOS of 2 Pounder. Didn't clear shock from Panzer. Last squad moving into the open. Should have moved to put more firepower onto objective building or 2 Pounder.l
