First of all that was a perfect tackle at the end of the game. In order to make somebody fumble you have to have a offensive mindframe. Travis knew exactly where to hit him in order to make him cough up the ball. That's a real football player.

Travis is him! Unfortunately the Heisman has become about the best QB, or the best player on the best team. Travis is not only the best player in the game, bar none, but he is also a 4.0 student, the smartest player/coach on the sideline and field, and a true sportsman. Nobody has ever done what he has and continues do on the field.

This award always confuses me, because it stands for the best player. But we always talk about “wins”. Winning is a team award. If Travis had 10 interceptions and 15 receiving touchdowns, 2 rushing Touchdowns, 1200 yards receiving. And the team goes 6 and 8. How does the wind/loss matter than asking who’s the best player? That’s like asking who’s the fastest quarterback in the history of the NFL. But also saying you can’t choose Michael Vick or Lamar Jackson because they haven’t won a Super Bowl. If we talk about the greatest quarterback of all time. You can have a quarterback with a 15 year career with better stats in every way than Mahomes and Brady but have zero Super Bowl wins… this guy is not the greatest quarterback of all time. When’s do matter, but remember it doesn’t matter how amazing of a quarterback you are if your receivers drop the Super Bowl winning touchdown, or you’re running back fumbles on the game-winning drive of the Super Bowl… you put your team a position to win, but they let you down.

Not only will we see another player like Hunter, it is gonna become a trend. No doubt about it. Other kids wanna do it, and other schools want a player that can do it. Wait and see, not only will Deion have another kid doing it next season, but there will be a couple other players at other schools doing it. It makes dollars, so it makes sense. I think Deion knows he struck gold with Hunter, and is gonna go find another kid to play both ways. Other schools are gonna follow the trend. The money Hunter is bringing to the school, is the exact reason why other schools are gonna start doing the same thing. Just listen to Travis, because he said the reason he chose Jackson State is because Deion was the only coach that talked to him that told him he could play both ways, and every other coach either said no, or told him he could do it in a limited role. You know other kids are now gonna be demanding to play both ways because they want the attention, because attention brings money. Nonetheless, this will become a trend. No I am not saying they will be as good as Hunter, just saying we will start seeing more kids play both ways.

Deion is the only human on the planet qualified to mentor TH. Travis Hunter is originally from Palm Beach. His father is from my city. Deion is a G_d in my hometown. It's no coincidence that TH committed to FSU first. Guess who Deion mentored before TH? Devin Hester. He's from Riviera Beach and played THREE positions at the U. The greatest 2 way player I've ever witnessed was Anquan Boldin out of Pahokee. Number 1 QB/DB in the nation out of HS. Look it up. He went to FSU, switched to WR and the rest is history. Deion has a relationship with him also. Bottom line, many guys I knew that had TH's talent usually hung with the wrong crowd and ruined their opportunities as a result (Cormani McClain is next). Travis Hunter and Prime linking up was capturing lightning in a bottle. He has a 4.0 GPA, doesn't party and engaged to his GF. That's rare for any black man from my area. You may see this again, but not anytime soon.

Hey recruits, while opposing coaches are slandering Deion and asking you do you want to go to school to be "rappers" ask them how many 2-way athletes they have on the team. Ask them can they put them in the top 5 as far as NIL evaluation - and NOT be a quarterback. Ask them how they can get you to maximize your cache as a two-way threat. I can't believe you so called experts are just handing this guy the trophy before he even plays out the season. The 4 teams he's played against this season are far far from being the best players in the game. The same thing was said about him last season and his last 5 games were no better than most others at his positions. He has 8 more games to play against much tougher competition and that will be a tougher go for him and it still won't be against the best teams in the country. He is a fantastic player but he hasn't had to face the best athletes in the game so I say we don't know if he's the best player in the game until he faces the best competition.
