As a drummer, I can confirm this. Also, great work with Zelliack, the EP is literally one of my favorite things I've ever heard.

Man... I love watching your playthrough videos a LOT. It's refreshing, and inspires me to work on my form that much more. I've experimented lightly with the open toms setup (smaller tom on the left, floor tom on the right) and I REALLY enjoy it, though I have a hard time committing to it full-time, since I've got 4 toms total (1 rack 12x9, 14x12 floor, 16x16 floor, 22x18 floor on the left). But that open setup is incredibly refreshing and a unique challenge! Keep it up, man! Cheers! :)

Hey Travis, I really like how you added in the description that 55 Cancri was looking for musicians, a drummer, being one of them. The only thing I could honestly think on that statement was "Good God, what size pumas would said drummer need to cover that gig?" Very cool video and super entertaining as usual

These sessions with Anup sound so well... I watch your videos for your incredible skills but also for Taylor's incredible skills, and these "no taylor" sessions clearly don't jar, that's the least you can say. Orbin-Sastry is a killer collaboration! Talking of "collabs", can we hope for a "Peterson-Orbin-Imanishi" project one day as it seems you all know each other...?

Of course, it just depends on the music and the circumstances. One of the tunes that I tracked that day featured a whole section of improv (it was for Pete P). Be sure to read the video descriptions, as I usually highlight such instances.

I'm not really sure what you mean by the cymbals "dying", but if I couldn't rely on a mix of both my chart and muscle memory to track this material it'd take much, MUCH longer to get anything down. As mentioned in the description, I did three more tunes from three different artists that day--one of which was Pete P, a nightmare of a piece on par with "Bugz" in complexity--and they were all lengthy and difficult.
