Growing up in late 90s and early 00s... this guy was so huge! I never missed an x-games in my teens and this guy along with all the other stars were the reason. Thanks for the great memories, Trav!

Young kids will never understand how crazy of a moment it was when he did the double backflip. No one was even close to a backflip on a Moto bike. Then actually I remember other then Travis one other dude did a 1 backflip for the 2nd time ever and Travis was already doing a double. Kids will NEVER understand how much of a legend Travis Pastrana will ever be* the king*

don't think thats true? iirc when travis did the double it was pretty much standard that to have any chance at winning any competition in fmx you have to have backflips on lock...
@shanksmcnasty66502 жыл бұрын
@@TheMikeMase he’s wrong. I believe in the early 2000s like 00 or 01 there was just a few guys to do a backflip. But you’re right by this time many guys were doing backflips. I remember going to a freestyle motorcross event where I’m from a few years before this and there were a couple guys that did a backflip
@eric9309-k2e2 жыл бұрын
Carry Heart. Did the 1st attempt. Mike Metzger did it. Well actually 2 in a row. Then it was standard for a flip. Even then. The double was insane. Now there is. Triple

I remember watching Travis do the double backflip and thinking that was the most impossible thing someone has ever done. Top 2 X Games moment with Tony’s 900
@VashStarwind2 жыл бұрын
Double backy is WAYYY cooler than ton's 900. 900 is like even hardly any risk with his knee pads, and not going up side down. Travis could have very easily died on the double.
@97NikeSb2 жыл бұрын
@@VashStarwind 900 can cause more damage to other parts than just his knees. He got a concussion trying to do a 900. Both could’ve died in a freak way. It’s not a comparison

@@97NikeSb Thats the thing tho. Double backflip, one little tiny thing goes wrong, your dead. 900, you gotta mess up pretty bad to die on it.
