Hansen really tricked Pastrana in that last corner. Very clever driving, so easy to be dragged in like that.

Go back to 5:55. You can see Hansen’s front end just barely pushes Pastrana’s rear end left into the corner which makes it unable to steer and causes him to understeer and float wide. Not sure if that was his exact plan or not, but damn did he pull it off smoothly

Suspension is really the marvel of car engineering...A pothole at low speed feels terrible, that same pothole doesn't exist at certain speeds! I learned that with coilovers. Spring rates, damping, rebounding all do different things at certain speeds.

Обратите внимание на количество соревнований проводимых в России, тот же дрифт за +-10 лет какую популярность обрёл. Строятся различные трассы с инфраструктурой, проводятся выставки. Да и в целом появляется все больше интересных машин на дорогах. По крайней мере это очень заметно в СПб и мск. А что касается дураков на дороге, Дак это везде есть и всегда будет.

That last corner Hansen got his car into the back of Pastrana when he switched back at the perfect time to unsettle Pastrana's car and that was the race done. It's a move used in speedway, not sure if it has a name

Hansen is a better driver. He puts the car, to the turn and the right angle of the Straight that follows , earlier so he gets a better exit speed\drive from the turn to the Straight that follows. Hansen also drove cleaner and did not lose his temper when he was behind. Another thing.the Swedes doing rallycross, as they learn to walk. It's in their DNA.(And I'm half Swedish)...😊 I'am all for Subaru' but also for Hansen so... .

Each driver has to do 1 "Joker lap" per race. This route is a little slower, but Travis was able to take his Joker lap first, then make up enough time to come out in front after Hansen did his Joker lap.

How much contact is it allowed in these races? I'd imagine they're way more lenient than GT series or F1 because of the more unpredictable nature of the driving, with all the sliding around, but some of that contact looked pretty aggressive. Are there contact penalties or is it all fair game unless you deliberately crash someone out?
