A fair bit of it is natural talent. There's some home video of him on a little 50cc dirtbike at about 4 or 5 years old, just absolutely demolishing the other kids in the race. If I remember right he could ride a motorcycle before he could ride a regular pedal bike. Then add a lifetime of practice, sponsorships, and opportunity.

What a sick looking beast. A screaming, popping and ripping brick with active aero on top of it. I want this thing in Forza! My favorite thing though is seeing the suspension, when it accelerates you really see the back drop and tge front raise and vice verse when breaking, and while cornering the whole car leans. Glued to the ground yet if you want to it has no problems drifting corners. A real toy, and a blast to drive I bet :D

I saw this lethal machine in person at the 2022 NYC Auto Show Subaru exhibit! It really stood out to me compared to all of the other cars around at the event. Definitely one of my favorites, especially knowing that it’s a wagon with active aero flaps and crazy speed. I wonder what hoonigan be on making these cars. 😂

I'd say it's more of an F-4 Phantom II, which simultaneously has the appearance of a flying brick and is unbelievably fast. If I had to go WWII era, I'd say P-47, AKA The Jug.

@@griffinfaulkner3514 P-47 was not so fast and had worst acceleration (with trippy bricky shape of course), it had only 3 main things: turbocharger for high-alt, good weapon-load, good survivability. P-51 is a better example in that case maybe, of course it had awful maneuverability but with a good mobility. But p-51 had nice aerodynamics. So I think in terms of WWII.. if this car was a plane it would be a Curtiss Wright CW-21 in dutch pilot's hands. But F-4 is a nice example without any doubt

So long as you kept its speed and energy up, it could boom and zoom with the best of them. Though if you want a plane that's truly physics-defying, you have to look at the P-61A/B Black Widow. At lower speeds, the combination of a massive wing and incredibly powerful engines gave it incredible responsiveness, far beyond what its size would suggest.

@@griffinfaulkner3514 Yes, it had nice diving speed but especially because of powerful engine and big main weakness: extremely large weight. It is just a physics. But because of this weakness it progressively loses energy into climbing and had poor climbing abilities for effective boom-zooming. It was meh-good for escort and ground-attacks. I can not agree that P-47 was best "boom-zoomer" of these planes. (Even FW190 with his radial brick-nose shape had better ability for energy saving.). And P51 had a lot of advantages against Thunderbolt. Well yes, P61 had good combination of technologies, but if we will talk about two-engines sophisticated layouts then in terms of "parallel examples" for that car .. better example will be an Dornie Do-335. Strange topic we have here overall, heh.

I went to the rally held in Wellsboro pa near pennsylvania grand canyon and to see Travis but he wrecked his car day before but at least I got Ken Blocks autograph on a poster then driving a ford fiesta oh and co-driver signed it as well and hanging on the wall.

This is what we could see back then into Group S series , if FIA and their greedy moneylovers bosses did not banned Group B and it's legacy. We already had active suspension, all-wheel steering, online electronical adjustments and improvements, sophisticated drivetrains, semi-automatic gearboxes, ultimate hi-tech materials, etc etc - back then in late 80's. But FIA ruined all motorsport future for decades. P.s. I don't like Goodwood track, to be honest, too boring and too simple, almost any other european hillclimbs have better and more energetic layouts.
