I learned to play ukulele when I was 80. I'm 82 now, but you needn't tell anyone. I do truly enjoy your tutorials and all your commends. Thank you so much. I play with a group here in Sun City. We play for all sorts of events here as well as assisted living homes. Nan

Hi Mike, I just like to say your lessons are helping me learn to play the ukulele and learn music. I've been learning solely from KZbin and practice every day if I can and I'm 50 now. It goes to show you can learn music an any age. Thanks for your uploads.

These Travis Pick techniques are some the more important lessons you teach to the "more than casual" players. Thanks very much for the excellent presentations. Your teaching has had great impact on my progress.

I've only been playing since July and your videos have been EXTREMELY helpful to me! I love this pick & I'm looking forward to playing a few this way. After playing the piano my entire life I'm enjoying this fun adventure learning a new instrument with you!!!

This is so great for a beginner . . . starting Uke at 65. Cant wait to play even a little bit better. Request . . . can you give us a simple song that can be used with each pick as you teach them? Great practice. Thank you!

Ooh, I've known about your channel for a while but these Travis picking videos are great. I learned what you call pattern #1 from a site a couple of years ago and use it frequently. However, I want variations on it and more complicated patterns to learn and have had a hard time finding a good resource. Your videos are perfect! And I have found that I came up with a bunch of these over the past two years just trying to switch it up a bit (including this pattern). Thanks!

Great lesson Uncle Mike. I use this pattern for a lot of folk and Hawaiian songs. It works even better using a low G string on your ukulele.

Can you expand your beatles lessons to, maybe a few of their individual songs? Like my sweet lord, imagine, etc. ?

This is helpful!! Thanks! I have a question. Is the first string only for the melody or can you use the second string as well?
