Let's learn a simple yet effective fingerpicking pattern on the tenor ukulele.
In this ukulele lesson, we will take a look at the Travis Picking technique. With this technique, the thumb plucks two strings in a steady rhythm while the index finger takes care of the other strings.
The Travis picking technique was made popular by Merle Travis, a country player and singer-songwriter who developed it on GUITAR! However, we can also use it on the ukulele.

I really like the way you don't just switch all the way into a chord between cycles of the pattern, it appears as though you plant 1 finger then the rest on the next cycle. I could be imagining things, but that seems like a fun way to keep your picking flow without rushing your left hand.
