Why tf were people expecting lyricism from Travis Scott?
@ldope3904
@ldope3904 Жыл бұрын
Right? No profound lyrics, but he never really did to make anyone expect it. He still rapped hard and it was dope. His delivery was great. You could have the most amazing, perfectly written bars but still have a trash song if you don't have the talent or skill to deliver. Take Drake for example, the corniest rapper to exist with weak bars, but his delivery is impeccable and makes it sound hard, when it really shouldn't.

Hard disagree. And the reason is because Kanye did not outdo any previous works with Yeezus. It definitely could have been better and that sound was not new to hip hop and has been done better by those doing that sound. This album is what a more focused Yeezus could have sounded like but Yeezus is still lacking in areas especially compared to Ye's prior work.

That shit was mid as hell it’s like I heard it before nd the production was fire but the bars was weak nd it didn’t sound like the verses meshed with the production when he raps fast I can barely understand it started to sound the same by the middle of the album nd I’m not into that techno shit 6/10

Not exactly surprised that people who only listen to mainstream hip-hop aren’t crazy about it. It isn’t trap music which is what all of y’all were expecting especially from how safe the singles were. Trav really got in his Kanye Yezus and Cudi Pasion Pain And Demon Slaying bag on this and took a huge risk with the production with practically no trap beats. I do think the future sounds leak with Kanye and mike dean was so much better than we got on Telekinesis tho (it’s on KZbin defo worth listening) other than Sza she carried

These guys are misinformed. They said Travis made Yeezus when it’s not his sound at all. He worked very minimal on only 2 tracks. It’s all Ye and Travis took it.

His production is amazing but where lieing if we say he dosent steal from kanye also his content matter evolves around a candy pop trap style. What over arching themes does he really bring that strike a cord. Yes I do agree the progressive beat transitions and synths are amazing especially for something to bump. But aside from that what do you get.
