I love the fact that Travis's character instead of brushing his son off (because there's a dead body) he still manages to play the part with him. It's a ticking time bomb of emotional damage.

No, 'over' means the end of a specific message, giving pause for the other person to respond. It's to avoid cutting each other off with held-switch devices like C.B.s and Walkie-Talkies. When the conversation is done you're supposed to say 'over and out' though it does get shortened sometimes.

@minionofgruumsh2 жыл бұрын
Not trying to assert definitively one way or another, but so far as I've seen there is some threading that indicates it's *possible* that instead of full-blown Pompei-style everyone dies, what's going to happen is that the entire city of crowns is going to be plane-shifted completely to a different plane of existence. The groundwork has been lain by the second episode, and it's not without precedent. Matt has a pattern of that kind of thing. The Elven city that is anchored in the Feywild, Aeor ending up in the Astral Sea. And it's a good Forgotten Realms homage with how important Netheril (an ancient empire of unprecedented and unrivaled magic) is to that setting's lore and how the Netherese flying enclave of Thultanthar "escaped" their apocalypse event (triggered by a mortal trying to take the place of the goddess of magic, thus destroying The Weave) by shifting to the Shadowplane.

Thanks for pointing it out. :) Though, the comparison still holds in the aspect that I was thinking of it; where bad thing happens, the city is still there, and the people that were still there were got by the bad thing. @paolobera2 жыл бұрын
@@minionofgruumsh Of course, and i think that the mortality in a city full of mages would be less than 10% even in a Titanic scenario in which the city fell unexpectedly. So of course the culture is gone, but like the ancient romans when the empire fell, people survived anyway.
