Thanks! Drive me nuts even more when I see coaches promoting changing your judo depending if you are winning, losing or fighting someone less experienced

All the content you share is remarkable. How you break down matches is the best learning experience on the internet. Thank you very much, Jim

I appreciate that Jim! Maybe I should go to two videos a week like that and just find matches on line to review!

Hey Travis, amazing stuff. I think this helps us a lot. Usually, when we watch pro play it all goes so fast that we can't pay attention to those details that you point out to us. You make this entire experience educational. Thanks and greetings from Holland!!

Having the opportunity isn't enough. You have to be prepared to take advantage of it.

"As Coach Billick (Baltimore Ravens) points out, the key to the Prevent Defense is all about the timing. When you use it is as important as how you set up the Prevent. Coach Billick gives a very good rule. If they don’t have enough time to score enough points to win, you can run the Prevent Defense. " Enjoy the coffee. Thanks for the analysis and insight.

I think I've said it before but I always look forward to these video analysis so thank you Travis! I absolutely agree with the main theme of this analysis and personally always do my best to hunt for that ippon regardless of whether or not I'm up a score.

Can you do an analysis of your fight with Flavio Canto? Also can you do an analysis on how he fights. It seems very different from traditional judokas. Thank you for everything you do Travis! Ossss

Awesome video. I noticed when you threatened the triangle at the start, you pulled down on his head - is that legal? for some reason I thought you aren't allowed to pull down on the head to finish it
@TravisStevensgrappling
@TravisStevensgrappling 4 жыл бұрын
There is no rule against pulling down on the head just a rule that says you can't apply pressure to the spine. Some people consider pulling down on the head pressure to the spine. I am not one of those people nor are the IJF refs on the circuit. But I have seen local refs call it.

Cool videos as always. Btw, you've got a few videos that are shown as 'private' in your playlists so you should remove them - try logging out and viewing your playlists so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thank you I was not aware of that or how that even happened. Didn't even know I had private videos on my channel. I'm going to look into it right away.

@@TravisStevensgrappling there are also a few random videos unrelated to judo (related to video editing I think) on a couple of the other playlists too - if you're cleaning up generally it would be good to remove those as well. I find your playlists really helpful btw!

Hi Travis, you say you did a drop seo nage and then a BIG seo nage. I hear this BIG terminology a lot, also for different throws (big osoto gari etc.). Is there a difference between a regular throw and a BIG throw?
