In my opinion the only sign that Billy Ray Cyrus that was any good was achy breaky heart his first album pretty much the rest of it isn't all that great he's trying to go rock and roll now look at him he looks ridiculous that long ass hair the only song that he had anything good was that last he had. I used to play it on guitar and when I first started doing it people liked it and after a while nobody liked it no more. But Travis tritt songs were all live on. So anymore awesome song. I'm going to be somebody, here's a quarter call someone who cares. Was a great song. All this is is talking the truth. Travis tritt is a country boy is like a southern rock band like Alabama all the good old boys well and Jennings Merle hagg all those guys get up there and sing. And keep it real. Billy Ray Cyrus he came on the scene and he left pretty damn quick. Now listen to his songs now he sings they're horrible. And if they do sound any good is because it's the way the sound man's adjusting him. I've heard him live a few times on KZbin and he sucks. Travis tritt always sounds great that's more hits. Basically I think Travis tritt basically said look how he performed achy breaky heart the way he was dancing it was more like a hip hop style. Had nothing to do with country music. And he had high top tennis shoes on I think. I don't know Billy Ray can never compete to Travis tritt. I have been and still listening to Travis and the guy has many many dam amazing songs that I never know which one to play! You listen one and you have no choice to listen to next and the dam thing is that there not comparable to say which one was better!! They all follow suit as amazing and connect like a story line.. You can always tell that Travis LOVES what he does and his guitar ring's thru him!! Billy and Milly on the other hand work with one hit wonder's and most go 6 feet under and 1 remains for a little while but make's it's way with the other's!! I would hide if I was Billy to see my spoiled one hit daughter on stage with the only thing she knows to play... Her tongue and arse even as old she is!! ... I guess I’m in the minority but I think Travis was out of line. I was and am fans of both but Travis started this feud. Billy let it go until he said one well deserved line to Travis. I think Billy Ray is a good guy and is very underrated. I love “It could’ve been me” and “Words by Heart” the best. But he had a lot of great songs other than Achy Breaky Heart. Definitely wasn’t a one hit wonder. And I loved watching Doc when it was on. It was a great family show unlike what is on TV or KZbin now. Back in the day I wanted to learning some new songs for the bands i was fronting. When It came time for band practice! I soon got a reality check. This Travis dude is a monster singer. The Boys in the band looked at me and said give the song to Jerry our bass player. So from that point! Jerry Covered all the Tritt Songs. I was the front man / singer and Travis done right is a hard task. He has more soul in one finger than I have in my hole body. I was always able to cover Billy Ray for the most part. Merle Haggard & Travis Tritt! Both have vocal inflections that are killer. Im glad my band stoped me from making an ass of my self. It kinda bummed me out! But sometimes you need a wake up call.. lol

They seemed to make up at Waylon's Memorial service at the Ryman. Billy Ray was doing acoustic Amazing Grace and then some guitar backup could be heard from the back stage area. Then Travis joined Billy and they sang and picked together and it was fantastic. Waylon was proud I think.

I never heard of this supposed feud but as far as I'm concerned, if quoted "verbatim", there was nothing inflammatory about Travis Tritt's comments. And as is typical with the media, if there ever was a feud it was instigated by the media. But that said, Billy Ray Cyrus may have been meant to achieve celebrity, starting out singing and then transitioning to acting, but between the two, Travis Tritt was the better singer/entertainer. There's no accounting for people's taste as to why "Achy Breaky Heart" was pigeon holed as "country". But to me, though it was catchy, it was no more than rural pop or urban country music. And in my opinion, it was one of the "gateway" songs that ushered in the twangy pop music and country rap of today.

He has the country album in history with the longest consecutive run at #1 on the Billboard 200 (Some Gave All) at 17 weeks. The album is also the second highest in total #1 weeks; also 17; second only to Garth's Ropin' The Wind, which got 18 weeks. I have always been a Travis Tritt fan. I was highly annoyed with Billy Ray’s song Achy Break heart. Yet he had other great songs. Sadly todays country , overall, is NOT country. (My opinion). I miss good country music like it used to be. I don’t listen to the new supposedly country stations anymore. The new stuff all sounds the same , with a few exceptions.
