That's rather unfair... Don't forget the other greats -- like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and the rest... This is a very creditable cover version by Travis Tritt, of the Charlie Daniels Band song...
@robbiecleighmarks30886 жыл бұрын
ya have to understand though... As great as Willie and Waylon and all the legends were, it would be difficult for those guys to go head to head with a guy as talented pitch perfect as Travis. I am NOT taking anything away from the legends, if it weren't for them there would be no TT. But as a musician, I can tell you that in a picking and vocal battle.. none of them would beat this guy. Much love to the legends.

About 20 years ago I was a police officer working an overtime assignment at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for an Eagles concert. I was close to back stage the whole show. I wasn't a big Eagles fan but knew some songs. When the concert was over a guy working with the Eagles backstage told me thanx for being here and handed me a paper with all the songs they played that night. It had a bunch a notes on it. I was told it was a set list. The guy asked me my favorite song and I told him this song. He said sorry we didn't even get to it tonight. He said next time we are here I will make sure you hear it. I didn't realize it but the guy I was talking to was Glen Fry. I'm not an Eagles fan.

@Travis Tritt I will continue to listen to and appreciate your music! Love your new music, by the way. My mom, hubby, and I saw you in concert at the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona a couple of years ago. It was by far one of our favorite concerts that we've ever attended. It was very up close and personable! Hope to be able to see you in concert again real soon! Take care!

Travis is a legitimate hall of famer. Badass

I agree !!! He's got a 100 million dollar voice and that makes him a Blue Chip Solid Choice if the CMHF quits their political bullshit and elects the ones who should be elected intelligently ! They kept the GOAT piano player out being 25% of the Million Dollar Quartet being 40 years late!! Nuff said !
