These new so called "country" artists couldn't shine Waylon's or Hank's boots, This man right here on the other hand has sat at their table.. Thank you Travis for all the years of your awesome music and for keeping their hard work alive with amazing covers like that.. One of the last true outlaw's, Waylon would be so proud..

It’s actually Hanks Jr’s song 🤪

Out of all the guys that came out of the Class of 1989 TT is definitely my favorite. He's the most versatile. Could sing a Hank Jr song, then turn around sing soul with Sam Moore, then sing with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eagles, Poison, Richie Sambora and then do a duet with Patti LaBelle!!!!! And do a TV special with Ray Charles. And the list goes on. I am not taking anything away from Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, or Clint Black but Tritt is definitely underrated and one day God willing be recognized for keeping Country Music real and being a virtuoso with his singing. He definitely is not a cookie cutter singer. God Bless Travis Tritt.
@skylarmorrison87885 жыл бұрын
Of the class of 89 Clint was probably the weakest. He started with some great songs and guitar playing then his songs were just plain and boring.

I just bought me and my mom tickets to see Travis Tritt in Lafayette Louisiana September 23rd. I was an addict and alcoholic for nearly 30 years and have literally put her through hell. I have been sober for 7 months now and she tells me all the time how proud of me she is and i can see how much happier she is not having to worry about me every day. She's 69 years old and not in good health...probably because of what I have put her through over the years. I can't wait to share this experience together with her and when she does leave this world she can go in peace and rest easy knowing I'm ok

Love his voice and his music, but we won't be paying to go see him again. We went to see him in Daytona Beach- VIP section. He said how happy he was to be back performing after two years of Covid restrictructions- NO encores. We all stood. We cheered. We screamed. He never came back and he could have sang so many songs. He didn't come back and we won't be back either. :(

There’s no ‘one size fits all’ in any music genre. I grew up on Country music. I listened to it when I was in my mom’s belly 74 years ago when our only source was WSM and WWVA on AM after dark and the broadcast towers switched polarity and shot it in our direction. But when it went ‘urban cowboy’ I got away from it and stayed loyal to the old timers. Country has been evolving since it was developed in Bristol TN/VA and a is still changing but I wouldn’t throw stones at Travis. He’s the real deal and damn good. You otta look into what kind of music recording artists listen to. Put some slack in the line. I agree there’ll never be another Waylon and I’ve got all his records but don’t stone Travis when he earned his way. Many famous singers said there’s only 2 kinds of music: good and bad. Travis is good.
