I wish the nurses were nice to me after I woke up from tonsil surgery haha I freaked out a little and the one nurse kept yelling at me, she definitely didn't help the situation. I hope your recovery is as painless as possible!

+stephanievengeance I know the feeling, most of the nurses I've had after my surgeries were down right evil! After my last surgery, I woke up in so much pain, I was almost hyperventilating & the nurse kept asking me what's wrong(as she was walking around the room, doing anything & everything, but worrying about how I was doing) & I pointed at my stomach, where I was hurting & then she yells at me "You need to talk, we don't do hand signals here!".. Well, maybe I could have, if I didn't have a huge oxygen mask over my mouth!!lol To all the nurses out there, who treat patients like that, you need to take notes from this nurse.. that's how you treat human beings, esp. after surgery! Sorry you had such a bad experience too! I hear tonsil surgery is very painful! Travis, hope you have a speedy recovery!

+LiL T My nurse wanted me to talk too and I'm like "I just had surgery in my mouth. Go away" haha I'm pretty sure I started crying. I was really lucky with my surgery though, it wasn't that painful, just uncomfortable. Trav's nurse is my dream nurse lol

i was in the hospital for six months, and honestly it was like 50/50 on how nice the nurses were. it really sucks because they get paid well and only work three days a week. if they cant be nice they shouldnt be working with people. i would check the schedule and see what nurse i would have and dread it so much when it was bad.

stephanievengeance Yep, I started crying too, after she started yelling at me & from the pain! Glad to hear your's wasn't that painful, but nobody should be treated like that, esp. in a hospital after surgery! I think a lot of the nurses out there, just get into it for the money, not because they truly care.. it's a shame! Yes Travis's nurse would be my dream nurse too! :)

I've had a couple knee surgeries myself, I remember that big old brace... Sucks, but worth it. Rest up, enjoy the lazy time, but get up as much as permitted. It'll help. Good luck and speedy healing. :)

I took care of my best friend when he had knee surgery, and the best thing that helped him was constant ice. Also lots and lots and lots and lots of physical therapy. The more you do now the better it will be later (even the extremely painful massages to prevent scar tissue). Hope you have a speedy recovery Trav!

This brought back bad memories of my knee surgery last month. My god, who knew reconstructing a ligament could be so painful! Your pain won't be there much longer! Keep up with the Physio when you get it!! It'll be worth it in the long run

Good ole ACL reconstruction...I had the same knee, same surgery. LOL I even was freaked out about the doctor operating on the wrong leg that I also marked the correct leg. LOL this brought back my surgery memories. I woke up in a CPM machine though and the pain meds had me thinking I had twin lil sisters instead of one. Work hard during rehab you can get full range of motion back. Best wishes!!!

Knee surgery, yikes!! Hope you're feeling better Travis!! Now don't go running a marathon!! Amazing that you were up and walking!! GO TRAVIS!! Jenny, you might want to contact Travis's orthopedic doctor where they can submit coverage of the cost to the insurance to cover the cost of the crutches. OR you can contact your health insurance company and they will cover the cost of the crutches and tell you what medical store to goto in your area to pick up the crutches.

I hope you feel better soon Travis I had two hip replacement surgery one in dec of last year and the other one this year in July and I was awake from both they gave me medicine for it so I wouldn't feel the pain that much while in surgery and it's crazy cause when you are out of the surgery room and recover they put u in room. That your Staying in the hospital and they tell you automatically that you need to get up on your hip and they did. Surgery on and they also help you there if you can't do it right away it's ok cause some people just can't handle it and I stand up from both of my surgeries and they were so surprised and they made me stand and walk a little too
