Song is about expressing who you are. Showing the people you care about that you don't care what they show. Travis supposedly, supposedly because I got this from a song meaning website, sang this song to his lover because she would sing when he wasn't actually around, but when he was near, she was the silent type. So through his lyrics, he is telling her to " Sing, sing, sing". Beautiful meaning and a lovely song by a great low status artist. This is that song no one in my generation listens to but cliches and it makes me love it that much more.

That whistle that starts at 0:43 and decends slowly in pitch until the chorus adds to that sense of decay. Really like something is winding down and running out of energy. The chrous then saves you with such an uplift.

It was mid-June 2001, I was studying in the living room for my final school year with my Rottweiler (Roxy) beside me, I can't remember the channel I had on TV, but it was a music channel on (Maybe Channel V?). This song played as one of those "new releases", and I looked at Roxy and she was doing a teeny tiny head-bang. I know she was not head-banging intentionally, maybe just a breathing motion, but it looked so funny and it went to so well with the song. From that day I started to associate Travis with my Roxy, I told all my friends that Roxy loves Travis, it is her favorite band :D I bought the "Invisible Band" Album from Virgin Megastore and I played this Album on my "Cd-man" when I took her for walks, or when we were just chilling inside the house. Roxy passed away in Jan 2003, and I couldn't listen to Travis anymore :( but I am finally here, alone due to lockdown, and I wanted to remember Roxy, I decided to listen again, and here I am, smiling and happy and I can imagine her doing her tiny headbang like it was yesterday. Rest in peace Roxy (26 Oct 1998 - 22 Jan 2003), you are greatly missed!

If you’re avid fan of the office like me and and you can almost feel as if the characters in the show are real, then this song makes you so happy bc in the episode “the banker” they play this song again as an homage to the obstacle and milestones Jim and Pam have overcome to get where they are currently. So to me this song represents something so special that I feel like I have with my significant other so when we get married I will play this for my Jim. Yah I know I just shared a lot of info that some of y’all could care less about but Oh well. Just wanted to share. :)
