I have an airsal 70cc tomos a3 that has a horrible rattle at 30+ mph that I can't seem to find. It runs perfect otherwise. I hadn't considered it could be the fins on the cylinder! That would check out with where it sounds like the rattle is coming from. Does that sound plausible? I don't know how bad that chatter you were speaking of can get. Great video as always :)

So that fin chatter is a "thing" - some older 2T motorcycles came with rubber on the fins for just that purpose. It's really noticeable on my cheapie treats 70 DMP kit on my Maxi, but any kit can be effected.

Makes sense. I have a Ducati that's got rubber pucks between the fins, but I had always assumed it was just for structural support. I'll have to find some for the moped. Thanks@@TravisTutorial

Really cool, Travis! My Garelli has similar wheels. Grimeca maybe?

Yes! These are the ones specifically: www.myronsmopeds.com/2015/07/wheels/#:~:text=Grimeca%20Razze%20Incrociate%20aka%20Snowflake

@@TravisTutorial Nice! Since the 1st time I ever seen my gransport in 1982 those were my favorite thing about it. That bike you just built should be a lot of fun once sorted.

Mounts are the same! It is a common-ish swap

Hello i have a question. I have been looking for an answer but can't find any. I have a DBS Hercules with sachs 504/1b engine it's running and was driving but when i was riding it with full throttle it just when slower and slower until it didn't move forward anymore i even jumped of it and with full throttle it didn't move forward. What can the problem be? It also felt pretty slow when i was driving it when it moved

Could be a lot of things, but tow issues come to mind: Fuel Flow - do you have good fuel flow from the tank - > fuel filter -> carb? Is the carb bowl and main jet clear? You could have a fuel starvation issue. This is the easier item to check. I'd also peek into the ignition side and look at your points (getting the Sachs flywheel off is kind of a pain but after you do it once not too bad) and make sure they are opening and closing as you rotate the flywheel, if the gap is off you could have those issues. But, if both of those things are ok - as in, the bike runs great on the stand with full power - I'd dig into the transmission, make sure the nut hasn't backed off, possibly look at the pads and your shimming. It's more work, but good starting points are in these threads: www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/Shimming_the_Sachs_505_Clutch All the real Sachs guru's here: www.mopedarmy.com/forums/read.php?6,4457536 There is also a video I made a long time ago on going through the clutch on my channel, best of luck with your Sachs
