The fact John Sr. didn't go to the hospital after having a mini stroke, and was more concerned about being a man down when John Jr. was airlifted to the hospital, shows is blatant disregard for the safety of his crew. He should be absolutely ashamed of himself. I come from a long line of fisherman on the east coast of Canada and a captain would NEVER put his crews live in danger over the sake of a catch.

Can't agree more. If senior had another stroke who could have taken the boat back to Harbour?
@Saltyseadog-n7fАй бұрын
@homemaintenancebyclive153 there's more than one man can drive the boat. Pretty much any crew member could take the boat home. He could just follow their fishing partner ashore...I've had to do that before.

Just remember THINK 🤔 SAFETY and always put SAFETY FIRST . The Sea 🌊 is not the same now . Don’t look 👀 at gale wind 🌬 no more . Water warm up making rough sea 🌊 now if your a old captain 👩✈️ 😊

Stuff safety as safety has killed British industry. I'd rather take a few risks and have a job, like countless generations of British workmen

John Sr. There are no prizes for being a captain incapacitated. You get no thanks. The most important thing in your life is your own health, especially if you can’t command a boat. Sad that your son can’t override you and have you airlifted. A poor decision….you get one life my friend

It seems to me that John Senior, having 30 years experience and survived a stroke, should have learnt how to take a chill pill when things go wrong, He seems to put cash, before anything else. You would have thought he would have learnt from losing a deckhand overboard. Hes not a Skipper i would want to sail with,

Why do man take so much fish if man wants to eat fish we should have to catch with line only if net are to be used going forward in life shouldn't be used from a boat only land and let the ocean recover, no fishing of any species whilst sparning
@JackCraft-tm9hj6 ай бұрын
There are quotas in place now to prevent overfishing. The demand is too high for fish to catch from the shore with lines. 😂
