Damn, biking for 2,5 hours will completely drain me, taking on such a epic adventure seems impossible for me. Well done, great footage.

Thanks, just back from 6 days of north Wales again! Legs searing! Best luck with any future trips you do.

Very informative for anyone thinking of doing Traws Eryri and especially for anyone interesting in adding in some of the trail centres on the way. Nicely shot and edited plus some good riding. That boggy section on the way into Conway looked pretty horrendous though. 😂👍

Glad you enjoyed. Not sure your battery would be big enough 😂

Would you happen to have the Komoot or strava link for this ride with the trail centres in the map?
@thebenjordan2 ай бұрын
I do, if you follow my Strava 'Ben Jordan' you should find the routes but any problems message and I can sort you out some GPX files for each day.

@@thebenjordan found your strava but none of the routes for Traws Eryri. Can you send me the gpx files?

Hey Ben I enjoyed video.. cld u answer a question.. this route sold as a mtb off road however from all the vids loads of road riding.. what’s yr view ?? Not including the trail centres u did.. thanks pat

Hi Pat, did you watch the summary at the end? I talked about that quite a lot. It’s a good ride but it doesn’t really fit quite right with any of the bikes… check out the last 5 or so mins of the vid and let me know if you agreee???

Out of interest what gearing where you running?

34t into 10-52 cassette. Could have gone higher - didn’t need quite that low for the climbs on this route
@fatbloaterdave7 ай бұрын
@@thebenjordan thanks. I’m doing it on a gravel bike in the summer working out how low I need to go 😅.
@thebenjordan7 ай бұрын
@@fatbloaterdave depends how strong you are as a climber but I’d be happy on a 38t into 11-46 on a gravel bike.
@steve-sx9kp6 ай бұрын
@@fatbloaterdave I rode it on a gravelly bike with a 650b wheelset, 45mm Pirelli Cinturato tyres with inner tubes (!) with Muc-Off sealant in them. Gearing was 1x setup with a 36t front and an 11-50t cassette. I used 'traditional' old style panniers with around 12kgs of kit. Only one or two short sections of road that I couldn't get up due to gradient carrying all that weight, off-road a little more because there were sections that were jsut too rocky for me. Had an absolutely amazing time and those little bits of pushing barely registered because it was so beautiful in the blazing Welsh sunshine! Have a fantastic ride!

At 34 secs in you’ve gone wrong , you should be on the path under the bridge

I was following Guy Kesteven's GPX, on the whole I think it tracked quite well.
