Actually there is a shortage especially in bigger stones and naturally colored ones. I have a bunch of diamonds on watch/wish lists and they sell out all the time and ive seen a lot of big manufacturers with a shortage of goods online and in boutiques

People in the diamond biz don't want you to talk about this. The supply is artificially controlled. Prices don't go up because supply is shrinking, prices go up because of artificial inflation. Diamonds aren't rare. they're flashy, that's all.
