Probably because he can earn more on lab grown diamonds. But still, even without that cynic though (so if he isn't making more money on those and being 100% honest and genuine), you have to be a vain stupid loser to buy mined diamonds. A lab-grown is 100% the same thing as a mined diamond. 100%. You can't see the difference. So if you want to spend 4x the amount just to brag about destroying the environment for the same product, go buy mined diamonds. Planet earth won't thank you.

Lab is chemically, physically, optically the same as natural. It is designed and engineered in a lab, which to me is very impressive. After spending ten thousands of dollars on jewelry for my wife over the years (Natural diamonds), I came across a factory on Reddit who sells lab diamonds (For like 50% off the market price), I purchased her an amazing tennis bracelet, Even big brands such as James Allen are selling lab diamonds 90% of the time, more and more people understand that natural diamonds are mostly a marketing gimmick. diamonds are not actually all that rare. Trax has literally stated in previous videos that SI clarity stones are a respectable standard when it comes to them being in people's jewelry. He also previously mentioned in a video with his man William that he didn't feel like making CVD/HPHT pieces unless many people began to gravitate towards that market. I never comment on videos, but the reason why I'm bringing this up is to demonstrate that even those that harbor certain opinions regarding something they're experts at will periodically change their tune if it makes sense for them financially. At the end of the day, don't be swayed by what others have to say regarding your purchases. If you like labs, by all means get them. If you like naturals, that's cool too. As long as there is honesty in what is being presented to you then it shouldn't matter what people think about your purchases, just keep in mind that ultimately business men like Max will do their due diligence and do what it takes to close a sale. I appreciate what he's doing as far as transparency goes and it's honestly been a long time coming that the jewelry industry gets shaken up, I just wish his opinions now were more consistent with those he had in the past. But then again, the man does have a business to run and market trends are forever changing. Respect from an aspiring jeweler/future business owner.

Investment grade natural diamonds should hold their value but we're talking about a perfect or near perfect ideal cut GIA certified stone of 2.5+ carats which most consumers can't afford. Smaller stones of excellent quality are still hugely overpriced even with the recent decline in prices and DeBeers and retailers are scrambling trying to figure out how to market them. Lab-created diamonds and the recent surge in gold prices are industry disruptors as tastes and preferences in both the U.S. and China markets are changing. No crystal ball to know for sure which way the scale tips, definitely interesting development.

One problem with your goofy assertion, you can't tell the difference. It's the same thing on an anatomical level and you can "dirty" them artificially, causing them to be undiscernable and as the years go by they will only get better.

The thing is that one company controls 80% of the existing diamonds. So its up to them how much they want to increase the price because they can control the supply

Can't you eventually just add shlt and impurities to the lab to make them seem 'natural'?...😁
@MK-wf8oj Жыл бұрын
@@EroticOnion23 there are already inclusions in lab grown diamonds, they don’t need to be put there artificially. Lab diamonds come in different clarities and colors, exactly like mined ones.

I certainly understand everything you’ve said. When it comes to resale value, if you can tell the difference by using the Yehuda machine, then they’re not the same, and if they’re not the same, I will go with natural stone. No one is going to come up to my wife’s ear with a diamond tester so at that point why not just use a CZ can’t really tell the difference between that and a lab stone.

What this video doesn't take into account is rarity, and supply/demand. The reason Diamonds are worth so much isn't just the aesthetic value, but the scarcity, and how hard it is to mine them. There are tons of gem stones out there that look way better than diamonds, but they are way easier to find and mine, so they aren't worth as much. Yes the lab can make better clarity for cheaper, but they don't have the providence attached to them. That's why some people still will only buy natural.
@tolbiii Жыл бұрын
Natural diamonds are actually not that rare. DeBeers controlled the supply and demand and therefor controls the market and scarcity. They may be hard to mine, but lots of people don’t like the unethical treatment that the miners receive.

Thank you for your honesty. The value of diamonds has always been about the narrative... People buy into The idea that an everyday object has value Because it symbolizes something of value. They buy something Expensive to communicate a message to the outside world or to declare their love to someone, and in this sense, the stone becomes something of great value.
