I grabbed the black one too, last Friday and I really like it. Stock 2s it performs just fine, at least for me it does. Seems the popular opinion from most viewers, is to just hate on this thing. Most likely from people who don’t even own one. Myself personally, for the way I drive my cars, I actually like the BL2s systems. After running an entire battery pack, the motors and ESC’s are barely even warm.

Agree, it’s not meant to be a high end basher. BL-2s runs great for something like this.

The reason people are so upset about it not handling the vxl system is because they advertise it as vxl 3s ready. The only thing they recommend you change is adding a center diff.

People just like to complain about everything. Its engineered for what it came with. Start changing things and issues arise. Reliability matters most to me no matter what it is. I heavily modified my chevy 4x4 and theres constant issues. Buddy has a yamaha wave runner that does 90 but theres always something being adjusted vs my jetski that does 68 without an issue ever. I think vxl system will be to much for this vehicle. People complain about price about this and that. Do you complain when you buy a bmw instead of a kia? I work with my hands everyday so my perspective is different. Love the channel, keep bringing great content 👍🏻

Just ordered my xmaxx V5 , wide maxx, mini maxx the holy trifecta from Traxxas we shall see I know for sure I’m going to love the xmaxx I had one before but used time will tell on the other two I’m an arrma fanboy I’m coming with low expectations lol but not a hater by any means hoping the mini maxx is good for what it is

Mini MAXX is pretty durable, decent speed off road, but struggles on a ramp. You’re gonna love the MAXX family.

Keep it stock & experiment with gearing. It looks like it will backflip no problem with 3-5t up on the pinion

I was thinking that also, steel spur and a smaller pinion. Those motors keep very cool with the internal fan.

Nice, Several people have had these break in half from where the servo is. I wonder if a bad batch or if it’s a weak point in the car that engineers missed. Let us know if yours ever breaks in half, the front half that is. I wanted to get one but will wait for an updated version in the future.

i’ve seen several people posting about it on reddit and they all seem to break in the exact same spot. but it’s usually due to bad driving like hitting a wall at full speed

Yeah I thought adding a centre diff or slipper clutch would solve some of the diff problems when going 3s

It would, direct power without a center differential would definitely cause issues.

There are Different rubber compounds in the front & rear tires.

If what I've seen in other videos is true the fronts are a stiffer compound/foam than the rears. It's to help ballooning of the front tires.

At 30mph I don’t think there’s gonna be an issue haha. Maybe on 3s it will help if that’s what Traxxas planned on.

The Mini MAXX can take a lot more punishment than the Mini Erevo. We don’t own the summit or Mini Slash.

Summit is just a revo with a lift and wide kit so same durability as revo slash is so small it’s honestly useless

This is a insult to the Xmaxx familly. I opened mine and 3 min later broke the front diff. Its $400CAD. I think its a little over priced.

I think this should have been a $199.95 model for what you get. Mini MAXX bash coming soon, nothing broke. Some are reporting it breaking in half at the servo/shock towers. Haven’t had any issues yet.
