All we did to convert this stock Traxxas Slash 2wd was add a Proline lift kit, Cheap VW Bug Body and tire upgrade to Traxxas Bigfoot tires.

Lol, did same. Also added gorilla tape to inside. Works great, lands on top, bounces back on wheels. Owned since Jan of this year, zero cracks.

I did the same thing, had the bug body first then did monster slash conversion. Looks and runs awesome. I grabbed the blue body, but the orange looks sick too.
