Just got one of these yesterday and took it for a few test runs. I might put my 3300kV brushless in this with some taller gearing when it's not racing the stock class at the track.

The Filmatic Condition they changed the moter from the stock brushed to the brushless moter, brushless moters push more power and are more efficient but arent good for crawling

My stock 2wd with safe gearing goes 25 mph and with speed gearing mine goes 32 mph with Titan 12T and 3000 mah NiMH battery and regular CG

Jordan Shackelford are you sure that's with the slash tires? They don't get enough grip on dry ground to even do one. If you have some wider tires I'm sure it would like a stampede

+jasiel andrade It didn't have the top speed pinion/spur combo. LCG wont make a huge speed difference unless you get up to 40+mph. I only got 1.3 mph on my 4wd slash from switching to lcg and it goes ~45mph

Traxxas misleads so many as they inflate their MPH right on the box. I get in this argument a lot, that the Redcats are just as fast, they're both 20MPH out of the box. With the same battery and gearing, the brushed Traxxas is no faster. I wouldn't be surprised if the motors in them are both the same and made by the same company in China.

Traxxas are designed for bashing, not racing, necessarily ( the trucks, I mean), so they sacrifice some speed for durability. Just like Chevy sacrifices max power for durability, unlike ford.
