sand and the extra power from 4s sounds like the slashes main nemesis

AWESOME BASH SPOT FOR SURE.❤️🔥. LOL, BASH TILL THE WHEELS FALL OFF! Gotta take care of all bearings, keeping them clean and lubricated is very important, especially when we go into anything wet, or dusty dry... KEEP ON BASHING, OR RACEING! FROM LONDON ONTARIO CANADA

Tell ya what, that bash spot is sick and I respect the heck of you sand guys! I ran in the sand one time and my Kraton was so loaded with sand, all the bearings had seized up in the hubs, and as a result the motor was overheating like crazy. Won’t be returning there for a while, had to do a full rebuild which with my limited time took a couple of weeks before I could even run it again lol Sick sends!

All the dunes in Michigan are great fun to run on. Just make sure it's OK for you to run where ever your at. The MDNR does not mess around with the preservation of the dunes. The area you are is the only place in the state you can drive orvs and other vehicles on them. I usually bash at the beach in warren.

I just installed the VXL upgrade, with the 60 mph gearing. Ran it on 2s for a little bit, with it being pretty fast. Bought a 3s battery for it recently, and I am terrified of it now. It popped a wheelie going 40 miles per hour! With pretty soft suspension!
@RCKnockout10 ай бұрын
Yeah 3s is pretty quick…it can be challenging to control especially if you don’t have the TSM radio system installed

Cool that truck rips in the sand, I have had 2 Slash 4x4's one was an original brushless version with #47 Mike Jenkins body the other is my current personal truck it started life as a VXL Fox Edition but now it's a Platinum spec truck with a castle copperhead 10 esc with 1415 2400kv motor. I might convert my stampede 4x4 into another slash 4x4 and do some light mods to it without spending too much just for fun. Hope you have a great day Nolan.

@@RCKnockout Yeah, i have had a few slashes i'm now thinking about getting an Ultimate slash 4x4 someday but i first have to do a few other projects. Your truck looks cool i might do a Mamba X 1\10 with a 1412 motor in mine someday.

That mic crackle is actually your phone signal interfering with the mic signal. Keep your phone away from your mic.
@RCKnockout Жыл бұрын
The phone is attached to the mic…it plugs into the lightening port….I’ve been told from a few others that I need to put my phone in airplane mode…that supposedly helps eliminate the crackles

I have a mamba X system in mine. I run it on 3S and I never seem to have a problem with it breaking. I think it’s because you’re running 4s that the slash can’t seem to take it very well. Edit: I also bought a sand guard for mine for the electronics and everything else so if you’re going to run it in sand, I also recommend you get one of those.
@RCKnockout7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the recommendation! Yeah 4s is considerably more powerful than running on 3s…it also means bigger jumps and harder landings lol

I just got into DC a little while ago and even with your knowledge and good parts it proves my point of rc is such a finicky hobby you can only go so long without breaking stuff in some ways its cool cause its like working on a full size truck but small enough to do whatever but cool video I need to go to the dunes

Idea, Gorilla tape a sheet of strong plastic from a bottle with hole for body post in it to the body like a giant washer, it can span both holes across the back. I did that on the rear of my stampede and its holding after several days of hard crashes. Stampede body is real bad about poppin through.
