I don't know anything about rc cars. We just had a big snow in Maryland. I need a rc that can run in snow. Speed isn't a big factor because my son is young. After hearing you speak in this video I know you can point me in the right direction. Anything stock good in the snow? I could also pay for a custom built one if necessary. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the video.
@RCKnockout4 күн бұрын
@@brian3.2 glad you enjoyed the video! It really all depends on the depth of the snow and consistency…most of the RC cars that will be good in the snow are gonna be high clearance and 4wd….also majority are Brushless power with a lot of speed to get through the snow…probably not gonna be the most kid friendly rc’s but it might be alright with supervision…cause it’s not easy to go slow through snow especially if it’s deep….you really have to plow through it….I highly recommend the Traxxas Maxx and Xmaxx…I’m sure there are a lot more but those are some of the better ones I own…if it’s just a dusting of snow in a parking lot a slash 4x4 works great…if it’s light powdery snow and not super deep a Stampede 2wd could get through it with paddle tires on the back, that’s a much more kid friendly RC…the only bad thing about 2wd cars is snow can stick to the front tires and bring it to a halt quickly….you could go with an Arrma Kraton or a Traxxas Sledge as well…they’d do pretty decent…about 10 inches of snow is the most I’ve been able to drive through with my Xmaxx but it makes the battery die quickly though…most RC cars won’t be able to go that deep…probably 1-3 inches for a lot of RC cars…pretty much goes hand in hand with ground clearance…hopefully that’s somewhat helpful

Settled on the teton for my Son and the Xmaxx for me. Figured I will have to plow a track for us but it doesn't look like any rc can plow through 10 inches of snow. They speed across on top.
