The gray plastic traxxas drive shafts are talked about as being one of the best, maybe xo-1 shafts. People seem to always mock integy so i guess theres that..
@RCKnockout10 ай бұрын
I’ve had hit and miss products from Integy…I don’t think it would be the driveshafts from the X0-1 cause those are steel….it’s probably the newer Slash 4x4 driveshafts…I’ve personally tried them out but they still end up breaking
@JonnyJetson75410 ай бұрын
Its all about rolling on the power and the driveshafts will last.

@@JonnyJetson754 afraid to say they won’t hold up if you wanna run 4s

Ive tried every axle on the market for my slash if u want a axle shaft that will never break get the tekno fronts and rears there like dog bones legit i wish i got them first i wasted so much money on axles get teknos and never look back!
@RCKnockout10 ай бұрын
@@RippinSupplyCo yeah I ended up buying the MIP driveshafts but I don’t run them cause they use a unique 12mm hex that goes on the solid stub axle…since I can’t use my GPM wheel hex claws I end up destroying the inside of the Plastic Wheels.

You should put some ceramic bearings on it. It would really fly 📈

How has the rpm front bumper been holding up? Any history of pulling screws out where it mounts?
@RCKnockout9 ай бұрын
The upper loop on the bumper broke but that hasn’t affected it much…I haven’t had any issue with the screws pulling out

Try plastic hubs and see if theres still drive shafts issues maybe

I’m not sure if it would make much difference…these driveshafts don’t seem to be very durable

@@RCKnockout it's just that everytime i see driveshaft issues it's aluminium hubs on the car worth trying i think despite the quality of shafts would for sure be interesting to see

@@QuestionEverythinggg a lot of the plastic hub carriers aren’t very durable…I’ve even broken a few of the RPM hub carriers
@QuestionEverythinggg9 ай бұрын
@@RCKnockout this is true it would be more so a test to see if the shafts are more durable within plastic hubs just on the rears even stock traxxas ones, nore the shafts or hubs need to be of good quality ultimately upto you tho p.s loved the build series of this car it has come along way 😀
@RCKnockout9 ай бұрын
@@QuestionEverythinggg yeah but they broke at the bottom and again at the top….the fit was probably the issue with these driveshafts…I think they’re too long, it couldn’t go though the full range of travel….I’m glad you’re enjoying the build…it has changed quite a bit

What happened to the Castle Creations® system, did it have any problems and if so what kind; I was also curious if it had slight overheating issues on 4S due to the higher kV.
@RCKnockout10 ай бұрын
I took it out and put it in my Slash 2wd….it hit limp mode a few times in the sand…but either a lower kv motor or lower gearing would combat that

I have those tires on my slash 4x4 they are good for pavement and dirt roads not realy good on grass and soft loose sand I’m getting Badlands Mx m2 Friday and some pro line shocks next Friday cause I have sand and grass I live on the coast I may end up with paddle tires if the pro lines don’t climb
