I’d wish Traxxas would come out with a Tmaxx 4.0. It should be 1 inch wider and a 1/2 inch longer than a current Maxx V2. Please also have it with a quick release body. Price should be $499. I’d promise to buy one for me and another one for my son. Come on Traxxas, one for your heritage. The Tmaxx is what put you guys on the global scene.

I have four from 1998 I converted one to electric and one to long chassis 3.3

Did you convert to electric on your own, or is there kits available? I have two old T Max’s, a 2.5 and a 3.3 that have been sitting for years.

I made my own mount out of 6 mill angle aluminum I got from the machine shop it was easy used an old moter can for alignment and drilled holes they sell a mount from people that have made them if you use your imagination you can build it yourself

You need to add single speed only and forward only in the transmission that’s easy too just buy those traxxas conversions then strip everything else off even the brake

If you have the tmaxx 3.3 with no reverse all you need is the single speed there are videos on KZbin

I did it on my own but I’m not the only one that figured it out I just don’t know how to edit a video and post it

Been debating on getting a new one as my one and only nitro. I prefer electric but the sound is great.
@4077661466jp2 жыл бұрын
H2013 thats exactly what i did as have always been advised to stay away from nitro unless u like problems, but the sound and feedback given from the noise and high rpm screaming i couldn't resist, but its true regarding dependability just comes down to quality of parts and up keep of maintenance, but the traxxas nitro motors aren't the best regarding tunabilty, but do the job very well for cost

@DavidRCyep. i know people who have done initial run-in procedures, a final tune on the traxxas 3.3s and never touched them again, good reliable motor if you want a nitro. But if you arent familiar with nitro tuning, take it to someone who knows what they are doing otherwise you may blow it up like i did with my first Tmaxx 🤣

I completely disagree with it being difficult. I learned on a traxxas .15 when I was like 8yo.. its seriously not anymore difficult then anything else. I've ran nitro for 28 years now and just got into brushless a few ago. I have more issues with lipos and esc then I've ever had from an engine.
