Traxxas X-Maxx Heavy-Duty Suspension Arms Install

Since I broke one of my stock arms I decided to replace all the arms with a set of Red HD Arms.

Quick tip on the front upper hinge pins. Take the drill bit put it up to the head of the bolt and put a piece of tape on the drill bit so that way you know how far in to drill. BTW great vid!!

Instead of trying to drill out the broken bit in the rod end you could also use a Dremel with a thin cutoff wheel and cut a small slot in it so you can screw it out with a flathead jewelers screwdriver.

Hey buddy, a little hint to help not drill to far. If you use a tube or old pen cut to size, slide it over the drill bit, leaving only as much drill poking out the end.

The head doesn't need to sit inside the arm, you just weakened the arm drilling it

Alot od RC people made same mistake... You dont need a RPM hinge pins just put a little washer under the l screw which hold original pins

Did you put velcro on the inside of the body as well? If so, does it help prevent the body from flying off during bad landings?

Hi,so you have to use the drill very carefully. Unfortunately I have little space and I am not so precise in manual work, you count as Groot baby when he has to press the right button. 😅 Good job. p.s. (my dream is to have a dedicated room with the right equipment). 🤤

guys any one can help i just installed max6 on my xmaxx and unable to set throttle when i pull the trigger for throttle setting and press set button nothing happen.. what can be the problem?

The truck stock uses hinge pins which are held in place with a screw. A lot of us change that for a full nut and bolt for extra strength.
