The West Coast veteran started by reflecting on his most recent album, "Malice," before giving his take on the rap feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. I appreciate Tray D. He is a very good listener. Vlad keeps trying to change battle rap rules to give Drake the "W" - sue, put out another diss, or just complain about Dot's mean & unfair disses. Battle rap is a sport. Drake got in the ring and got stomped out. Vlad acts like he is Drake's mentor or guilty ghostwriter. Tray calmly told him the battle is over. I hope Vlad understands that if Drake does anything going forward, Drake will be starting up something new. Kendrick should keep it moving.

In high school I just wanted my own money for things I liked. Building my own studio so I could record freely. So I could go out to eat where I wanted to go and to travel how I wanted solo. Did I do something things like save some of that money to take a woman out? Yeah, but that wasn’t the heart of my hustle. The heart of my hustle was to be independent and be my own boss. But if you want to say “you said you did put some money aside to go out on a date” that wasn’t the root though. But if you want to be right, your ball your court. Believe what you want. But that’s not my main focus. But if you’re always chasing women. Maybe you’ll think that. I was chasing freedom. If we’re being honest.

I really haven’t thought about Tre Dee point about how west coast music isn’t getting national attention like Atlanta. He didn’t say Atlanta but I’m making that point as an East coast guy; specifically the Northeast in the Tri-State area of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut area although I’m closer to Philly. You listen to radio stations around the country and you know where you are. You listen to music around this way in the northeast and you’ll think you’re in Atlanta. So East Coast rappers outside a couple guys don’t get airplay neither. I think the west coast hasn’t evolved and neither has the east coast. In the strip clubs you’ll really hear the south but most cats don’t listen to southern stuff at the crib or a private party. New York and the east coast has adopted the south style. 50 Cent was the 1st to come out & if you didn’t know you wouldn’t think he was from Queens NY. The west has stuck to their sound. That P Funk bounce music. Every beat I hear has that Dre siren of some type or some parliament style of funkadelic. I just the music to be authentic. Dre and those Guys made millions so I guess guys are sticking to the script
