I remember being very outraged the night of the fight, because I thought Manny Pacquiao won a lopsided victory. But after watching this fight several times over the last 11 years, I still score it for Pacquiao, but see it a lot closer. Pacquiao obviously landed the harder and more eye catching shots for the most part, but he fought a lot in spurts while Bradley was a lot more consistent throughout the rounds. Bradley came out in the 5th round with an awareness that he could find himself in the middle of a Pacquiao buzzsaw in a heartbeat. That seemed to have a chilling affect in the subsequent rounds. He had a different kind of respect after the 4th round. Manny made a mistake by taking the 6th round off allowing Bradley to "rest". Instead of Manny coaxing Bradley to fight, he could've taken the fight to him. It seemed like Manny wasn't gonna fight until Bradley did. Thank goodness there were 3 of these.

Rounds aren't scored strictly on scoring a punch. Affect of the punches landed goes into effect. Who's controlling the tempo, who's more aggressive and of course the harder shots. Manny won this fight.

In what world was this a robbery? 😂 Pacquiao wasted damn near entire rounds looking to counter, while Bradley was at least sticking and moving. In a lot of them exchanges, Bradley was blocking and weaving Pacquiao's punches. As the fight progressed, he even started countering Pacquiao with check hooks. Pacquiao had success when Bradley tried to get on his tough guy act after eating a clean power punch and hearing the fans cheer. This was a very competitive fight in the beginning, but there was too much coasting from the champ in the latter half. People need to stop calling close fights robberies, and pay attention to what *both* fighters are doing. Not just the one you want to win

I just gotta laugh at some of the comments in here by several people saying Bradley won this fight. 1 person is saying Bradley outboxed Pacquaio and the other person is saying Bradley outboxed Pacquaio with the jab and blunted Pacquaio's offense with his in and out movement and blocked most of his punches. Lol And than this person say we need to watch the fight in slow motion...Hilarious!! LOL I can just tell right now that these people not only have a bias towards Pacquaio but I don't believe they believe that it went down like that when you watch this fight. And btw, i've seen this fight many of times, so no need to try and tell me what punches landed and didn't land. Lol Bradley's jab was getting blocked by Pacquaio's gloves and forearms most of this fight, as was most of his punches. Yeah he threw more punches but they were getting blocked and a lot of his punches were wide slapping type punches in flurries and they were easy to see, which is why his punch percentage was bad. Throwing more punches while retreating means absolutely nothing when you're not landing anything, especially when you have the other guy coming forward and is more accurate landing the cleaner effective punches which Pacquaio did most of this fight. Not only that he hurt Bradley more in this fight. Anyone who really believes Bradley was more accurate in this fight needs to go see a doctor and get a good pair of glasses because if that ain't it, than they must of been drunk or high when they watched this fight if they came to that conclusion. Lol This was actually an easy fight to score. Bradley's best rounds were the later rounds like round 10 and 11, and that's because Pacquaio wasn't active in those rounds. The most rounds you can give Bradley in this fight is 3, anything more than that is too much!! Bradley's best showing against Pacquaio was their second fight. In the second fight he won 4 rounds, but this fight right here.... he got completely outclassed!! So yeah, he got the decision but nobody believes he won, and nobody credible believes he won, which is why his life became harder after this fight because people got eyes and they all know what they saw. Pacquaio proved he was better in the rematch and than the 3rd fight which was really Pacquaio being nice by fighting him a 3rd time because he really didn't need to when he beat him twice already. But because Bradley was back on top again and their was a lineal championship on the line, the Pacman decided to do it again and in their 3rd fight, he kicked Bradley's ass again!! Knocked him down twice too!!

It was the Jim Lampley effect. On the original broadcast, Jim was calling pacman straight left hands that clearly missed by 2-3 feet lol. He was waaaay too excited about Pacman, and casuals generally listen to commentators more than actually watching the fight, simpky because a lot of them dont even KNOW what theyre watching. In my eyes 👀 Bradley won, he pressed the action in the first half, and the last two rounds. He landed the jab, body shots, he blocked most of Pacquiao punches but it was his ability to stick -n-move, and slip pass punches is what destroyed Pacquiao's offense. The judges called it right Bradley won watch the fight in slow motion. Bradley out worked Pacquiao the judges saw what I saw that's all I'm saying no robbery.

Pacquio did not win this fight. Turn off the commentators and watch who had ring generalship, "Bradley" This was a big part of Pacquio's success. Pacquio had to make statements in the last 30 seconds to take rounds or to make them appear close. Pacquio had the big shots but could not follow through. Nonethless, it was an engaging fight.

When i watched this fight i thought it was a robbery, years later i just finished watching this fight again and its way closer than what people think. I ended up scoring it 7-5 for Pacman however i counted 5 swing rounds where it could have went either way. I also felt TB won atleast 2 of the last 3 rounds i gave rd 12 to Pac but you can argue TB swept 10,11,12.

A little bit like Tyson vs Douglas. What mattered is not the scoring and the fight wasn't fixed. Bottom line is Pacquiao's corner was in disarray and Pacquiao was not quite himself. IT's that simple. And it was still close. And i guess you could argue the scorecards were a little wacky. But that all goes away with a more disciplined Pacquiao and more coherent corner. Pacquiao was sharper against Thurman at 40 then he was here at 33. That is the diff. Also look at Bradley's career - his only losses were to Pacquiao. It was after this fight that P started taking things seriously again.
