This may be the most underappreciated razors in wet shaving. This is one of the smoothest razors I have ever used. The TRC SS is deceptively efficient. If you like the Henson razors and the Karve Overlander, you will love this razor. You get a heavy stainless steel razor for the fraction of the cost of it's competitors. I highly recommend this razor to new wet shavers, people who shave frequently, and those that appreciate smooth but efficient shaves. This is a very well machined razor with super tight tolerances with zero movement between top cap and base plate. The Razor Company is also a fantastic business.

Brian, thanks so much for confirming. I agree. the efficiency of this razor is wonderful. And you afe correct about the heft. While I enjoy the aluminum version, the stainless version's weight is a wonderful plus.:) It's a really well built razor at a nice price point. I used my SS TRC razor last week for the first time. I really liked it. It was efficient but not real aggressive feeling. Just a wonderful shaver. Nice video Mark.

Are you using distilled water to make the lather? Even though I have soft water, distilled water makes the soap really “pop”.

Any ideas for blade disposal? Beyond the plastic or metal store bought products, do you empty those into a soup can? Mark, what do you use for your used blades?

I’ve got 3 soaps on order atm one from John at 345soap company called “Quantum Foam” from the 2023 NW Shaving meet up official soap, then a restock of original Palmolive which I’ve told has been discontinued how true that is I’m not sure; and finally mentholated palm olive which I can’t wait to try.

Probably the #4 plate. The TRC has a bit more growl than the Rockwell 6S #3 plate, IMHO. I might even put the TRC somewhere in between the #3 and #4 plate. But it's certainly more towards the aggression level of the #4 plate.
