We all have to thank Boa for the indirect creation of SHINee because of Boa she inspired and became Key's ultimate idol. He said he had to get in SM to be in the same company as Boa to the extent he was rejected by SM five times before being accepted and ultimately landing as a member of SHINee, so thank you Boa for being an idol's idol.

Boa is the Queen. She is literally one of the main reasons why K-Pop spread to Japan and the West. To do what she's been able to do for so long and still be so beautiful, healthy, strong, and not caught in any scandals is amazing. Plus the support she gives other artists is amazing. (This song has '90s bop vibes and I'm here for it).

Well that's Korea for you and if it was almost anybody else who isn't Dara they would probably be dead lol. Why do you think so few female artists in Korea survive past 30? 🤔 BoA being the exception along with Yoon Mi-rae. BoA & Yoon are really in a completely different League though. So calling them idols would be an insult. BoA is also SM Entertainment's creative director and sort of godmother to upcoming trainees. She really is a huge inspiration to other female K-Pop artists. Because they're just not many in her position. With the experience, reputation & position to back it up. So if being older is somehow a negative. Then there's a whole lot of K-Idols that would like to be in her position. It's kind of a problem for other artists really though. Because most just don't last long enough to make an impact. But BoA takes it like a true professional. Maybe almost too much because she doesn't take credit for anything lol. Well they don't call her the Queen of K-Pop for nothing. :b

BoA has quite a few Janet like, MJ songs but that's not surprising considering she kind of is one of MJ's biggest superfans. BoA did a really awesome tribute when MJ passed away. But I don't remember where I saw it at the time. But you should check out "I Did It For Love" which she did a number of years ago which is Bop. Which was part of her US promotions at the time. She also starred in a movie a lot of people don't know about. I think it was called "Make Your Move" which was by the same director that did "Save the Last Dance" and "Step Up fame." "Only One" is also a great track worth checking out.
